    Finance Manager -Insurance Industry (Fixed Term Contract)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations
    • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial modeling and analysis
    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are aligned with business objectives
    • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, CA(SA)
    • At least 5 years of experience in finance within the insurance industry
    • 2-3 years IFRS17 experience
    • Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and financial reporting requirements
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive growth and profitability
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

    Accountant CA(SA)- Fixed Term Contract -KZN

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of monthly financial statements in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
    • Review and reconciliation of various accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as required by management
    • Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
    • Provide financial analysis and support to various departments within the organization
    • Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed
    • Keep abreast of accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
    • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company policies and procedures
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes
    • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification is essential
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
    • Proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
