    BME Cell Lead - Brits

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    • Responsible for training cells in accordance with the methodology and using B-ME tools. B-ME trainer responsible for Cell training: 
    • Responsible for training on the Daily Management System (DMS) in the production cell. 
    • Trains the Cells to lead a subordinate team of leaders and operators in order to achieve the assumed goals of the cell resulting from the CBN (Compelling Business Need), Master Plan and Annual Department Plan.
    • Responsible for training on the implementation of Incident Elimination - IE, Defects Handling - DH and activities related to cleaning, inspection and lubrication of machines (Clean, Inspect & Lubricate - CIL).
    • Responsibilities: Manages the cleaning inspection and lubrication (CIL) process 
    • He trains the CIL process on machines and is responsible for its continuous improvement and development 
    • Supervises the training of operators in the activities covered by the CIL process Create, verify and update new parameters to minimize losses 
    • Performing a DMS (Health Check) implementation check in terms of CL, identifies opportunities to improve the process and implements corrective actions

    BME Process Lead - Brits

    Job Purpose 

    • Responsible for training cells in accordance with the methodology and using B-ME tools. B-ME trainer responsible for the Process Lead training: 
    • Responsible for training on the implementation of the Centerline (CL), Rapid Change Over (RCO) and Change Management (CM) processes to reduce unplanned stops, increase time between stops (MTBF) and shorten changeover times. 
    • Trains in tools for collecting and analyzing data on machine stops, trains in conducting analyzes to find the causes of problems (Initial Problem Solving and Unified Problem Solving). 
    • Support the Process Lead in the process of training operators on new work standards. 
    • Supports the Process Lead in developing the skills of the team of operators in the use of various process control tools. Responsibilities: Centerline Process Management (CL) Trains and supports the Process Lead in the following areas: 
    • Defining targets for key machine parameters in a cell 
    • Ensuring that operators adhere to the CL process 
    • Training operators in the CL process and how to proceed and document parameter changes beyond the set target (including 3M) 
    • Create, verify and update new parameters to minimize losses 
    • Performing a DMS (Health Check) implementation check in terms of CL, identifies opportunities to improve the process and implements corrective actions Resize and changeover process management (RCO)

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential 

    • A valid and appropriate light vehicle driver’s licence (South African Code 08).
    • Grade 12 National Certificate

    Preferred:

    • A valid and appropriate heavy vehicle drivers licence (South African Code 10).
    • Grade 12 National certificate with maths and science.

    Duties

    • The following is a general list of tasks that a Tyre Serviceman is required to perform. The Company may add to or vary these duties from time to time provided the variation is reasonable having regard to the Employee’s skills, competence and training.
    • Comply with Otraco Southern Africa’s policies procedures and instructions,
    • Comply with client policies, procedures and instructions.
    • Accurately record tyre change or other information and file or forward the information as required,
    • Perform equipment checks and calibrations according to procedures, Fit and remove wheels from any type of vehicle according to procedures,
    • Mount and strip any type of tyre and rim assembly according to procedures,
    • Perform repairs to tyres and tubes according to procedures,
    • Operate forklifts and tyre handlers according to procedures

    Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

    Duties

    • The following is a general list of tasks that a Senior Shift Supervisor is required to perform. The Company may add to or vary these duties from time to time provided the variation is reasonable having regard to the employee’s skills, competence and training. Ensure all personal comply with Otraco Management System (OMS) policies procedures and instructions,
    • Ensure that tyre fitters comply with Otraco Management System (OMS) policies, procedures and instructions
    • Lead tyre fitters to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe and cost effective manner.
    • Ensure that the contracted “scope of work” is performed to a high quality of service.
    • Prioritise and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe and cost effective manner.
    • Perform corrective action requests from auditors.
    • Perform administrative tasks such as roster management, leave records, overtime sheets and submit to Head Office as required.
    • Ensure that all data critical to Otraco providing a quality service to the client is accurately recorded and checked for errors.
    • Check that data critical to Otracom is provided accurately and on time.
    • Lead the tyre fitters in performing equipment calibration procedures according to the OMS.
    • Perform inspections and determine if components should be scrapped, repaired or remain in service
    • Mount and strip any type of tyre and wheel/rim assembly according to procedures

    Sourcing Manager: CAPEX and Energy POC - Brits

    Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Sourcing and Tender Management

    • Development and execution of strategic sourcing strategy and plan for Capital Expenditure projects in alignment with company objectives and budgetary constraints.
    • Conduct spend analysis and develop category and savings plans.
    • Manage the end-to-end tender process.
    • Ensure alignment with Bridgestone procurement policy, procedures, and regulatory
    • requirements ensuring adherence to ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
    • Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings, process enhancements, and innovation.

    2. Savings Implementation

    • Deliver on the savings plan and track on results.

    • Manage and Report back on supplier performance on a monthly basis.

    5. Stakeholder Management

    • Effective communication with Stakeholders.
    • Manage effective cross functional teams throughout the sourcing process.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to understand project requirements and ensure procurement needs are met effectively aligned with turnaround time.

    6. Contracts Management

    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimize value, quality, and delivery timelines.
    • Ensure suppliers have contracts/SLAs in place following sourcing activities.
    • Ensure Contracts are tracked and reviewed as required.

    Main responsibilities

    • Provide technical support and assistance to production and engineering
