    Data Capturer_ Mpumalanga (Gert Sibanda)

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Data Capturer supports the M&E specialist in capturing and consolidating facility and partner data. The District Data Capturer is responsible for consolidating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary qualification would be advantageous
    • Trained on TIER.Net software and/or previous experience with TIER.Net data capturing and reporting
    • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in working with DoH data/M&E systems (from patient-record level to DHIS level);
    • Experience in data collection and capturing
    • Experience with data capturing or collection within the public health sector will be advantageous.
    • Familiarity with the public health sector and District Health System will be advantageous
    • MS Office
    • Able to communicate in English and isiXhosa languages
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Capturing and consolidating facility data
    • Ensures that all weekly, monthly and quarterly data is received, captured and consolidated
    • Update databases with weekly, monthly and quarterly data
    • Format and structure data according to requirements
    • Keep and maintain a register of who is responsible for data submission at each facility
    • Notify the M&E specialist and other relevant staff if data is not submitted on time and keep record of all data submissions
    • Interact with colleagues and project management to ensure fulfilment of project objectives
    • Interact with Department of Health and THC staff to capture relevant subject-related information
    • Filing and administrative duties as required

    Peer Coordinator_ Mpumalanga

    Purpose of the position:

    • To coordinate peer educators in providing a comprehensive mobile and fixed site wellness service, primarily to people who inject drugs (PWID). This involves ensuring that peer educator work schedules are organized, monitoring peer performance of duties, and ensuring that peer reporting is consistent.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • High school education
    • One-month related training
    • Previous experience as a peer educator or outreach worker
    • Proficiency in isiXhosa/ English and another South African language
    • Valid code 8 drivers license

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Coordinate peers working on outreach programmes and at the drop-in centre (DIC), under supervision of the PWID Project Coordinator
    • Conduct outreach activities with the mobile unit
    • Adhere to all relevant standard operating procedures, policies, and standards
    • Engage with PWID community, including attendance of and participation in community advisory group (CAG) meetings
    • Participate and assist in organising in PWID/PWUD support meetings, community advisory group meetings and structures as directed by PNC and project coordinator

    Driver - Key Populations (Mpumalanga)

    Purpose of the position:

    • To transport the outreach teams, commodities and equipment to and from different locations and other duties related to being a driver, including vehicle maintenance, observing all road safety and traffic laws.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 10  
    • Clear Criminal record.
    • 2 years' driving experience       .
    • Valid code 10 driver's licence with professional driving permit (PDP)      
    • At least 1-year experience working in any Key Polulations programme and advantage 
    • Ability to communicate in English and another South African language

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Shuttle the team for outreach on a day-to-day basis. 
    • As best as possible, ensure the safety of the outreach team whilst on site.
    • Ensure that the vehicle is in good running order. If noticing any concerns regarding the vehicle, highlight the programme manager immediately.
    • Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports defects to PNC.
    • Maintain and update accurate log sheets and required reporting for all trips completed.
    • Reconcile petrol usage and submit reports to Finance as required.
    • Comply with all organisational fleet and driving policies and procedures. and all adhoc duties.
    • Always abide by traffic laws.

    Quality Improvement Mentor - Fort Beaufort (Amathole)

    Purpose of the position:

    • Provide on-site, hands on Quality Improvement (QI) coaching to TB HIV Care Clinical mentors, partner staff and frontline facility QI teams. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelors or Honours Degree in Primary Health Care from college or university program certificate
    • Masters Degree in Public Health with at least one years’ experience in improvement methodology or process engineering, LEAN or Six Sigma would be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2-4years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
    • Experience in improvement methodology or process engineering, LEAN or Six Sigma will be an advantage as well as formal training in QI or process engineering and a relevant Quality Improvement
    • SANC Registered (where appropriate to primary discipline)
    • Efficient in Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, STATA and spreadsheet application
    • Demonstrate knowledge of synthesizing information and presentation, knowledge of evaluation designs in HIV programs
    • Valid code 08 Driver’s License and own transport

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Contribute to the development and execution of multi-facility Quality Improvement (QI) projects with QI leads in order to improve health systems and patient care
    • Mentor and support THCA Nurse Mentors in QI and on supporting facility-based teams to conduct QI interventions towards achieving the multi-facility QI project aims including
    • Mentor and support clinic supervisors and facility-based QI teams to conduct QI interventions towards achieving the multi-facility QI project aims including
    • Using prescribed data tools to track progress within and across project facilities including collecting TIER.net, DHIS or ETR data at centre or sub-district level
    • Assisting Clinical and QI technical lead with teaching and mentoring including co-facilitate QI Learning Sessions
    • Documenting QI success stories (and interesting failures to demonstrate QI methodology)
    • Developing QI capacity among sub-district health department staff (e.g. programme managers and clinic supervisors where requested), THCA and partner staff

    Social Auxiliary Worker - Fort Beaufort, Eastern Cape

    Purpose of the position: 

    • This post will provide psychosocial services under the supervision of a social worker within the context of Care & Treatment programme. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent  
    • Certificate in Social Auxiliary Work from a recognized college or institution
    • Two years training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
