    Specialist: Unbranded Channel

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Drive revenue and customer growth through the usage of Vodacom’s Products and Services across the unbranded channels within a geographical area. Manage and maintain the relationship with respective trade and channel partners, the internal organisation, and suppliers. 

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    • Manage the unbranded channel stores (NC/WH/AD’s/Informal stores) within a geographical location.
    • First line escalation from trade partners (customer queries) – ECLO.
    • Manage field marketing agency by ensuring operational compliance and excellence – retail pricing compliance, comparative pricing reporting, availability of stock, updated deals, campaigns & branding.
    • Achieving specific sales and customer service targets and objectives aligned to the unbranded regional strategy.
    • Stakeholder relationships across national chains, wholesalers, alternative distributors and informal trade partners.
    • Identify partnerships and collaborations to drive sales through brand and product awareness.
    • Implement the distribution strategy within the Unbranded Channels space.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To implement the Unbranded Channel strategy and roadmap, to ensure maximum sales return and exposure.
    • Attention and focus to be given to unbranded channels including National Chains, Wholesalers, Alternative distributors, spazas, traders, street hawkers, etc., mainly within the informal market.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with informal traders and spaza operators on behalf of Vodacom to enable improved understanding and establish greater understanding of evolving consumer trends and behaviours.
    • Ensure implementation and success of new products and services and identify opportunities to drive product awareness.
    • Measure, Analyse and Report on a monthly basis on key activities, findings, learnings and areas of improvement and identify opportunities to improve sales and service that will positively impacts revenues, market share and customer experience.
    • Create a monthly call cycle that outlines the store visits of both NC and informal stores, including partnership meetings on a monthly basis.
    • Accountable for Vodacom’s KPI’s (revenue, base, market share, usage) in the designated locations and geographies.
    • Manage & maintain relationship with trade partners end to end as first point of call/escalation, hence driving the acquisition, retention, and customer experience targets.
    • Identify strategic opportunities to maximize profitability for area of responsibility. Liaise with the regional marketing team to facilitate promotions, presence branding and recommend ATL marketing opportunities within the area under care.
    • To drive gross adds and VABS efficiencies in the Unbranded channel.
    • To identify and recruit new business partners as per channel strategy, in order to increase distribution coverage.
    • Implement and manage recovery plans for underperforming towns and stores.
    • Manage third party outsource relationships to deliver on the Vodacom KPIs as per SLAs and proactively manage the development and implementation of the sales strategy, projects and general management, e.g., MSI.
    • Monitor competitor activities and ensure gap closure through the development of competitor activity plans.
    • Knowledge transfer - impart Knowledge transfer, P&P, campaigns, deals, trade bulletins to store staff.
    • Provide insights for effective analysing for improvement of TNPS across Retail touchpoints and ENPS for the Region.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Specialist: Software Engineer

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Specialist: Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support Vodacom’s digital products and customer facing platforms.
      The role contributes directly to agile delivery cycles, translating user stories into working code, improving system stability, and optimizing modules within their domain (e.g., CVM, Loyalty, eCommerce, Customer Lifecycle, or Platform Enablement).
    • This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands on development capability, and consistent collaboration with architects, other developers, QA, DevOps, and domain leads.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Software Design & Development

    • Analyse user stories and technical requirements to produce technical designs and working code.

    Executive Head: Pricing & Analytics

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Lead the Pricing & Analytics function within CBU Commercial Management, ensuring that pricing decisions, commercial analytics, performance diagnostics and analytical decision support are designed, governed and deployed to improve revenue, margin, quality growth, retention and network monetisation outcomes.
    • The role is accountable for the commercial pricing discipline across CBU, including pricing governance, price architecture, elasticity logic, margin assurance, pricing transformation inputs, scenario modelling and post-implementation measurement.
    • The role leads analytics across product, customer, channel, region, segment and network dimensions to identify performance drivers, commercial risks and value opportunities.     • The role will interface closely with Big Data, IT and Technology teams to leverage enterprise data assets, analytical engines and reporting platforms.     Your responsibilities will include:

    • Analytics governance and measurement: Maintain consistent KPI definitions, analytical methodologies, data interpretation standards and post-implementation measurement logic across pricing and analytics work.
    • Dashboards and reporting standards: Ensure key commercial dashboards, scorecards and performance reports are accurate, fit-for-purpose, timely and aligned to agreed definitions.
    • Performance governance: Own pricing and analytics governance forums, performance decomposition packs and executive-ready recommendations for Commercial Management and CBU decision forums.
    • Leadership and capability building: Build and lead a high-performing Pricing & Analytics team with strong pricing, modelling, commercial analytics, data storytelling and stakeholder management capability.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3-year degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Business or minimum 10 year proven experience in Analytics and/or Pricing role.
    • Post-graduate qualification such as MBA, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics or Commercial Management advantageous.
    • Relevant experience in telecoms, consumer commercial management, pricing, analytics, revenue management or commercial performance strongly advantageous.

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Minimum 8 to 10 years relevant experience across pricing, analytics, commercial management, revenue management, finance, product, strategy or telecoms commercial roles.
    • 3 to 5 years senior leadership experience with cross-functional accountability and exposure to executive-level decision forums.
    • Deep understanding of CBU commercial drivers including ARPU, revenue, margin, gross adds, quality gross adds, churn, retentions, migrations, device economics, affordability and channel performance.

    M-Pesa Africa: Network & Firewall Integration Engineer

    Role Purpose:

    • Network & Firewall Integration Engineer within the Cloud Integration Team, focused on core virtual networking, cloud connectivity, firewall security, VPN integration, and IP/MPLS engineering across M-PESA operating markets, Vodafone Group platforms, cloud environments, and third-party partners.
    • The role acts as a subject matter expert for network integration and security, ensuring the delivery of resilient, scalable, and secure connectivity solutions that support critical M-PESA services.
    • The position drives end-to-end network integration initiatives, enables cloud connectivity strategies, and ensures adherence to architecture standards, security policies, operational resilience requirements, and service level commitments across the M-PESA ecosystem.

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

    • Participate in numerous network integration projects, including design, deployment and testing of new flows and VPNs between a virtual core data centre and multiple external 3rd parties.
    • Support architects to document the essential components of core networks provided by Vodafone Group and between our MPesa OPCO’s, and their associated change control processes and SLA’s. Documentation includes architecture and design documents, communications matrices, detailed deployment plans, VPN forms, and Firewall configuration.

      Implement end-to-end network changes in order to support the creation of new application services.

    Principal Specialist: Technology Strategy

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To develop, facilitate, and coordinate the long-term Technology Strategy for Vodacom Group and its African markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technology priorities, and growth ambitions.

    • Manage development of executive dashboards, portfolio analytics and predictive insights supporting strategic decision-making.
    • Drive governance of property, asset, vendor and sustainability data to improve data quality, transparency and reporting.
    • Enable evidence-based decisions relating to portfolio optimisation, asset performance, workplace utilisation and supplier performance.
    • Define business semantics, KPIs, success measures, and data quality expectations.

    Business Insights, Analytics & Decision Support

    • Support the development of executive insights, dashboards, and performance packs that enable strategic decision making.

    Build scenario models and analytics that support:

    • Real estate optimisation
    • Space utilisation intelligence
    • Cost-to-serve analysis
    • Asset lifecycle performance
    • Vendor performance and SLA adherence
    • ESG sustainability insights

    Stakeholder Engagement, Governance and Change Enablement

    • Support digital adoption and change enablement across CRE, ensuring new tools and processes are embedded effectively.
    • Implement digital change management across National Property and Facilities.
    • Build strong partnerships with Business, Technology, Finance, Procurement, Sustainability and Human Resources.
    • Promote adoption of digital capabilities through communication, training and business engagement.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Establish governance frameworks for property technology vendors and managed service providers.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • A 3-4 year degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Property Management, Engineering - essential.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in Infrastructure Management, Corporate Real Estate Facilities Management, Digital Transformation or Property Technology.
    • Strong experience with CAFM / IWMS platforms (such as Archibus), Smart Buildings, IoT and workplace technologies.
    • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence and executive reporting.
    • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.

    • Real estate portfolio analytics.
    • Workplace or facilities management data and reporting.
    • Data governance or data product management.
    • Exposure to CAFM / IWMS systems and IoT/ESG data environments (business-side experience, not technical design).
    • Experience leading change and adoption in large organisations.
    • Experience working with outsourced service providers.
    • Strong background in business analysis, product ownership and digital strategy in complex environments.
    • Exposure to digital transformation and data-driven decision-making.
    • Experience must include developing integrated customer-centric technology workplace product or service solutions while working with and managing stakeholders across and / or functional areas and budget management.
