    CI / PPI Engineer

    Job Purpose/Overview
    The PPI Engineer has 3 main goals:

    • Lead the implementation of new: products, processes  and packaging (equipment/lines) in the factory
    • Drive continuous improvement in capabilities and capacities through all changes impacting process, product and packaging
    • Lead complex solving problems, using advanced problem solving techniques and 6 sigma methodologies supporting the different pillars in the Mars Supply Excellence program such as FMOS, Focused improvement …..
    • The PPI Engineer also has a role to manage change including the coordination of projects between a cross functional team of people, on a local, regional and global level.

    Key Responsibilities

    Innovation

    • Develop and execute R&D strategies for growth, quality & efficiency by implementing new R&D Innovations on site in regards to product, pack, process and packaging equipment’s/lines
    • Lead lines trials, complete trial reports and provide technical inputs to global R&D industrialization team throughout activity lifecycle for product implementations projects
    • Responsible for the establishment of operational control systems including change management, industrial go,  Hand over 1 & 2, and qualification review for projects regarding product launches on site following industrialization process.
    • Join regional PPI platform with respect to technology, best practice and knowledge transfer as part of multi-site harmonization measures.

    Project  management

    • Lead the coordination of projects between a cross functional team of people (on site and off site) to step change projects or drive efficiency (Do it Best).
    • Support Safety, Quality CI and Environment in collaboration with Q&FS and HSE service.
    • Participate to investment submission to identify and assess benefits

    Standardize & Improve

    • Work on new standards and define SRC (standard running condition) in affected perimeter
    • Collaborate with Operating and Technical department to validate any standard definition and to deploy them
    • Support the CI team on KPI analysis to identify key improvement and increase efficiency and capacity.
    • Use their expertise to support the factory operation (through FMOS) and technical teams (through Focused improvements) to solve complex problems, leveraging 6 sigma.
    • Own training module definition to develop and sustain associates functional capabilities in particular in process (grinding, extrusion), packaging and flow area

    Context and Scope

    • Complete how the job gets done and the way it operates
    • Very high degree of independency, perspective, and influencing skills lateral as well as with senior management. Working relationship with 3 manufacturing sites and in conjunction with the VCO leadership team, Global R&D/Industrialization Hand Over (IHO) and relevant functions such as Commercial, S&F, Q&FS, Engineering and IE regional and global
    • Relevant Quantitative and Budget Information

    Financial

    • RCC factory produces close to 200Ktn / yr roughly 660M€/yr NSV
    • Supporting cost improvement initiatives (Do iT Best) with a target of 3% YOY

    Staff

    Other

    • Critical regional supply context: demand constrained by supply capacity, heavy innovation agenda with 50 recipe/400 SKU change / yr in a complex factory setup ~ 900 SKU. Major focus on MSE& DIB

    Education & Professional Qualification-

    • University degree in engineering, in food industry or general, or equivalent qualification

    Flow Manager P1

    This role is a key-critical position in the success of the organization in providing leadership within the Factory Supply Chain and Factory Leadership Teams.  The main purpose of the role is to provide the leadership to ensure effective and efficient procurement, storage and supply of raw material and packaging for the factory to operate at its optimal efficiency rates and cost parameters.  The role is also responsible for the factory scheduling function and this requires efficient planning to improve customer service levels for local and exports markets. This role is an important lever in driving efficiency throughout the end-to-end value chain by constantly striving for continuous improvement through optimal inventory levels by measuring and improving performance within budgetary requirements and reducing waste. Leadership to the team(s) – developing and nurturing a culture of motivated, engaged, and high performing Associates by actively harnessing diversity, equity and inclusivity. This role also needs to lead, develop and manage the Flow team in line with Great Line Management (GLM).

    What are we looking for?

    • Inspirational People Leader - Lead the flow team to ensure associates are motivated, engaged and developed leveraging our 5Principles
    • Develop functional strategy for the factory supply chain and deliver milestones for the operationalization of raw material and packaging availability, harnessing systems capabilities
    • Active collaboration with the end-to-end Value Chain Operations team in determining the inventory levels for each raw material and pack and put them in place accordingly to ensure factory operations continuity and service level.
    • Optimize the supply chain to reduce volatile sourcing lead times and maintain accurate stock levels of Raw Materials, Packaging by co-ordinating procurement
    • Implement inventory management processes to manage inventory health and minimize stock write-offs and inventory variances – cost optimisation
    • Implementation and optimization of processes, interfaces and collaborations inside the Flow department and within the VCO community to ensure an efficient and successful ways of working

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Advanced degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Management (MBA is a plus)
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience within a similar role in a FMCG environment
    • 5-10 years’ experience in Raw Material Procurement, inventory management /warehousing/Logistics/ production planning & international logistics (imported raw materials and packaging)
    • 5 years’ experience in factory supply chain-related industry
    • Ability to make timely, consistent and well-balanced decisions
    • English: read, written, spoken (advanced)
    • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite
    • 5+ years People Leadership Experience
    • 5+ years root cause analysis & problem-solving experience
    • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis & Financial knowledge
