Job Description
The purpose of the role is to support the creditors department by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks. These activities include the validation and verification of payments made to our providers. Ensure that the relevant documentation is consolidated and captured according to set procedures. The role is also responsible for the reconciliation of accounts monthly.

Required Skills

• Accounting degree or relevant Tertiary qualification.
• Experience in a financial function will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of BPCS is advantageous.
• A resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to respect the deadlines.
• Knowledge of processing import creditors advantageous
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Computer Literate (MS Office, Word & Excel)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Three-way matching and processing of invoices.
• Reconciling vendor accounts and preparing documentation for payment of creditors.
• Following up on account queries by interaction with factory/HO staff and vendors
• Involvement in the month end process, including journal preparation and posting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations of selected accounts.
• Ad hoc financial reporting requests and tasks as required.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning the manufacture of the six key categories in each of our Manufacturing Plants. The incumbent will help ensure the execution of the stock build strategy by coordinating the manufacture of our products to satisfy Customers demand while supporting the functions in the value chain achieve their respective performance objectives. Their responsibilities include leading integration and promoting alignment between Commercial, Industrial and Supply Chain. This role will also ensure that Customers demands are fulfilled through integrated business planning while supporting functions achieve their respective performance objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) process by helping Plants coordinate manufacture of SKUs aligned to demand and stock build strategy
• Prepare short term weekly production plans for plant for all categories
• Determine daily raw milk allocation to meet manufacturing plans while limiting the amount of waste travel and misallocations
• Automate the decision tree on Raw Milk allocation to categories and Plants
• Plan replenishment to Distribution Centres optimising the use of the available space while ensuring adequate days of cover of inventory
• Inventory cover at DCs to be determined by SKU bearing its individual forecast accuracy, lead time and shelf life in mind. Cover to compensate for variability while maximising service and minimising waste
• Future proof supply chain production planning by developing processes and tools that require little manual intervention
• Mature and further develop the Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) philosophy at LSA
• Prepare and coordinate weekly Demand Reviews with Commercial and Demand Planning hereby assisting Commercial improve Sales Forecast Accuracy % supporting lowering Working Capital and maximising Customer Demand fulfilment
• Prepare and coordinate weekly Capacity Reviews with Industrial and Supply/Production Planning hereby assisting Industrial improve Planned versus Actual % supporting improving plant efficiency and maximising Customer Demand fulfilment
• Determine long term critical raw material allocation (Raw Milk) to optimise Customer Demand fulfilment, efficiency and profitability
• Collaborate with Commercial to improve Promotional volume planning and phasing
• Determine long term volume forecasts for input into quarterly/annual financial forecasts
• Develop and encourage the use of systems and BI analytics to improve the supply chain’s effectiveness

Ever wondered what goes on to the science of making dairy products, are you passionate about milk and its components?  Have you any desire in becoming a qualified and trade tested production Technologist?  Join our Lactalis group at our Kyalami plant where we will provide you with an opportunity to be trained, developed and mentored into a fully-fledged Dairy Artisan in Production Technology.

Attend classes offered by a SETA accredited training provider once a month for a week and get practical exposure in production within the relevant department for a period of 3 years.

Required Skills

• Grade 12
• Must have dairy manufacturing qualification
• 18-30 years of age
• Curious and willing to learn more about dairy and its various components
• Desire and Passion to be trained and developed as Dairy Artisan (Production Technology )
