    Senior Footwear Buyer: Exact

    Responsibilities will include: 

    • Successfully source and procure a balanced range of merchandise in line with company strategy and customer profile.
    • Work closely with the planner, through analysis of previous sales patterns, market trends, forward trend direction and brand initiatives.
    • Formulate departmental strategies to maximize sales and then timeously source and secure stock to implement strategies.
    • Negotiate effectively to deliver value and profitability.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with employees, suppliers partners and key functions in the business.
    • Knowledge transfer through coaching and mentoring junior team members.
    • Conduct buying trips independently and aligned with forward trend direction and sound category and customer understanding.
    • Holistic and Strategic thinker, as well as consider specifics and detail.
    • Assess complex situations and implement workable solutions.
    • Communicate effectively at all levels.
    • Team player and be able to foster collaboration across buying, planning, marketing and sourcing functions. 

     

    The successful person will have: 

    • Have experience as a Buyer (5+ years essential); of this buying experience 3- 4 years should be Footwear experience 
    • An entrepreneurial, merchant-style of thinking
    • Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.
    • A proven track record in buying or a similar related field
    • Contribute to growth / profit through innovative ideas
    • Good analytical skills and high attention to detail
    • An interest in and knowledge of trends.
    • Uncompromising negotiation skills
    • A good working knowledge of the current computer software packages (knowledge of Excel, Word & E-mail would be preferable).

    Data Quality Analyst

    The Business Intelligence Team is looking for an individual to join the team. You must have a passion for detail, data and business processes. You must have a curious nature and a strong drive to understand and improve the existing business environment.

    Your key performance areas will be:

    • Establish and run a customer data quality program in the company, including developing the enterprise methodology and framework for customer data quality management
    • Develop a data stewardship program
    • Drive change management and training around data quality with the help of HR
    • Set up new key performance indicators for affected roles and ensure that is driven with line management
    • Liaise with IT and business to drive continuous improvement
    • Prepare and present Data Governance council reporting

    To qualify for this position, you will need:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification. (Preferably Business Science IT)
    • Data governance and data quality management (at least 3 years)
    • Working with data quality tools, preferably SAS Data Quality Studio

    Core competencies

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Working knowledge of business analysis and creating a business requirements document
    • Multi-tasking with the ability to focus and attend to multiple things
    • To be able to perform at a high level of accuracy with little supervision
    • To be self-motivated, well organized and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
    • Proven written and verbal communication skill
    • Working knowledge of Project management
