    Head Of Quality Assurance (DBN)

    You Bring:

    Qualification and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Quality Management, Software architecture, and ISTQB Advanced.
    • QA Management experience across multiple projects/products, offshore and in-house.
    • Strong leadership and technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
    • Proven track record of building QA teams, managing the teams and large/complex activities and processes, while providing direction to the QA teams.
    • In-depth experience in providing regular mentorship and coaching to the QA team members, with proven success stories of the team manual and automation efforts, in the people- and results-oriented.
    • Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous improvement, and innovation within the industry, adopting and implementing best practices to shape the organisations QA processes and strategies.
    • Minimum of 10-12 years hands-on experience in Quality Assurance/Testing with a minimum of 5 years managing development/quality-focused Teams.
    • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of quality assurance processes on a company’s global scale.
    • Business Management degree (advantageous).

    What You’ll Do:
    Quality Management:

    • Defines QA strategy, approach and execution in product development and delivery with the goal to ensure product quality.
    • Directs and develops a Quality management framework/system, that identifies and set appropriate quality standards, processes and parameters for reliable product delivery according to required specifications and Project deliverables.
    • Leads and directs the QA leadership team, by providing leadership and technical expertise within the Testing Framework, over the functional and Automation disciplines.
    • Monitoring of all QA activities, test results, defects and incidents to identify areas of improvement and take the necessary steps to implement identified opportunities for efficiencies.
    • Focus on continuous QA improvements including the usage and adoption of best practice and industry appropriate testing tools, test techniques and test automation.
    • Monitor and ensure proper usage and management of all available tools and necessary test devices to gain maximum benefit of the QA effort.
    • Gather and present the related testing metrics and deliver-oriented results to key stakeholders and the executive team.
    • Be an escalation point for all matters relating to quality assurance and testing and operate as the primary contract for the QA teams.

    Delivery Management:

    • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of business processes supported by software systems/products.
    • Working with various heads of departments (HOSD’s, PMO Lead, Product Delivery Management Development, Product and Operations)) teams and team members in being accountable to develop and execute on QA strategies to meet and exceed team and organisational quality goals.
    • Recruits and develops quality assurance Team Members.
    • Ensures the team is appropriately resourced and members are equipped with the requisite skill required for both current and future projects.

    Team Management:

    • Manages direct and indirect reports.
    • Participate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of the Senior QA levels, and below where required.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
    • Collaboratively works with team members to set performance goals and measures and conducts regular check-ins that are timely and constructive.
    • Facilitates mentoring and coaching as required.
    • Facilitates change management due to changing situations/organisational/marketing requirements.

    Resourceful and Improving:

    Quality Management:

    • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
    • Contributes to the creation of test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data for use during the testing phases of the software development lifecycle, for new and existing software systems/products.
    • Identifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends improvements and facilitates solutions to these issues.
    • Documents and reports issues discovered during testing, and reports issues to Senior Management.
    • Leads and collaborates with both Technical and Function testing teams in building and managing of Automation, Performance and Functional testing frameworks to perform complex execution against the product testing scope.
