What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
• Leading, motivating, and developing team members to deliver their very best
• Ensuring exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
• Assisting with staff scheduling, stock control, and daily administration
• Driving sales and helping the store achieve its targets
• Maintaining brand standards, cleanliness, and food safety requirements
• Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Stepping up to manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory, Team Leader, Assistant Manager, or Junior Store Manager role within the QSR, fast food, restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry
• Proven experience leading and managing teams
• Strong understanding of customer service principles
• Experience with stock control and cash handling
• Basic computer literacy and administrative skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Reliable transport to and from work
• A clear criminal record
• South African citizenship or a valid work permit
• A strong desire to build a long-term career in operations and progress into senior leadership roles

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To oversee the Reporting team in relation to accurate Reporting before submission to the Financial Reporting Manager
• Financial reporting, managing operating capital, the accounting function, implementing SOP’s and improving internal financial controls
• Financial reporting: Collate, prepare and interpret reports
• Manage the accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
• Ensuring tax compliance and compliance with statutory regulations
• Manging the audit process and ensuring financial statements are completed
• Managing budgets, variance analysis
• Review Store Management accounts for 35 stores
• Review VAT calculations and submit to FM for review
• Accurate review of payments and timely submission throughout the month
• Review FAR as per physical verifications
• Store Budgets
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Have effective time management, problem solving and decision-making abilities

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Tertiary Financial Management / Accounting qualification
• Valid code 8 Drivers Licenses (own vehicle)
• Full MS Office
• Sage 50/ Pastel Evolution or similar system
• 3 Years’ experience in a similar role
• Sound understanding of the finance function and a hands-on approach
• Previous experience in the FMCG, Fast Food or Retail sectors
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Must have strong attention to detail and a proven track record
