    Factory Manager

    Factory Manager

    • Our client is one of South Africa's leading manufacturers of high-quality tents, marquees, gazebos, tarpaulins, custom canvas products, and camping equipment. They are committed to delivering superior service and excellent craftsmanship in every product they manufacture. To maintain their reputation for quality, they are seeking a Factory Manager with 2 years’ experience to join their team in Pretoria Central, Gauteng.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric.
    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a textile manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with administrative duties and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
    • Advantageous: AutoCAD or SketchUp.
    • Proven managerial experience in a factory or production setting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve production issues promptly.
    • Humility and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
    • Proficiency in email correspondence and supplier communication.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a factory environment.

     Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Operations Management: Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to deadlines.
    • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control standards for all products, including tents, marquees, gazebos, tarpaulins, and custom canvas products.
    • Production Workflow: Coordinate with team members to optimise production workflows, minimize downtime, and ensure smooth factory operations.
    • Middleman Role: Serve as the liaison between workshop employees and company Directors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on production goals.
    • Employee Management: Address and resolve employee concerns and complaints, provide leadership, training, and motivation to achieve high team performance and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction with both product quality and service.
    • Machine Servicing: Oversee the regular servicing and maintenance of factory machines and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal disruptions in production.
    • Fault-Finding & Problem Solving: Develop and apply fault-finding skills to quickly resolve equipment malfunctions and operational challenges.
    • Administrative Duties: Manage email correspondence, respond to client queries, and liaise with suppliers regarding raw materials and inventory needs.
    • Financial Calculations: Conduct accurate calculations for purchases and material requirements, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
    • Inventory & Store Management: Assist in inventory management, including opening and closing the store, and ordering materials to ensure uninterrupted production.
    • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the factory, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Reporting: Communicate with management regarding production progress, challenges, and solutions to enhance overall efficiency and meet production goals.

    Junior Bookkeeper

    Junior Bookkeeper

    • Our client, a reputable firm of Chartered Accountants, Registered Auditors, and Tax Practitioners, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Randburg. The ideal candidate will bring over 3 years of bookkeeping experience within an accounting environment, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role involves processing financial data, managing monthly payroll, VAT, and reconciliations, and maintaining up-to-date records for various clients. Ad hoc travel may be required to perform duties at client sites, with travel costs reimbursed.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper in an accounting environment.
    • Proficiency in Sage Online, Pastel and SARS Efiling.
    • Matric.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification.
    • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
    • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.

     Roles and Responsibilities

    • Process financial transactions from bank statements to trial balance.
    • Manage monthly payroll processing.
    • Handle monthly VAT calculations and processing.
    • Conduct monthly account reconciliations.
    • Manage SARS follow-ups and correspondence.
    • Capture and submit returns on SARS eFiling.
    • Travel to client sites when necessary to perform bookkeeping duties. (travel reimbursed)
