    Manager, Operations, Solutions

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary qualification – advantages
    • 3-5 years’ experience in Warehouse management and Inventory management
    • Advance knowledge of WMS - Cargowrite
    • Advanced Microsoft office skills

    Job Related Requirements

    The following is COMPULSORY:

    • Operations: Extensive knowledge and hands on skill related to Inbound, Stock Management, Outbound / Order Fulfilment, Return processes, effective, Packaging, excellent facility housekeeping (5S) and batch and expiry control.
    • Stock Management includes: Audits (perpetual and wall to wall), SKU Master maintenance, SKU Consolidation, Slotting (based on ABC analysis, volumetric and product categorization), Space Utilization & Density, Measurement, Pick-face Replenishment Strategies, Batch and Serial Number, Management, Expiry management (First Expiry First Out), and daily warehouse system to Client system variance measurement, investigation and alignment.
    • Problem Solving: Effective Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving and implementation of Corrective and Preventative Measures.
    • Management: Must be able to do all managerial functions (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling, Monitoring) independently, effectively and reliably.
    • Communication: Must communicate effectively (written and verbal) to manage and meet both internal and external customer expectations, Compliance: Must ensure full site compliance, including the following: DSV Policies, Regulations, Work Instructions, Maintenance Schedule and Local Authority requirements.
    • Stress and Conflict Management: Must have effective techniques and/or skills to manage conflict, cope with stress and work effectively under constant pressure.
    • SHERQ: Internal measurement and auditing of all site processes to ensure stability and improvement in areas of Health and Saftey, enviroment and facility compliance/risk mitigation. Basic knowledge and experience of QMS such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001.
    • Commercial: Must have effective commercial acumen and experience to manage Client and Supplier Contracts, SLA’s and Risk, Financial: Must have effective financial acumen to ensure tight cost control to meet or exceed budget.
    • HR and IR: Must be able to effectively lead, train, performance measure and performance manage all subordinates to ensure high morale, productivity and retention. This includes intermediate knowledge of Industrial Relations and Processes.

    Main purpose of the role

    • Maintain operational performance in line with client agreed SLA
    • Maintain Internal KPI’s.
    • Identify, drive and implement improvements in support of productivity & cost savings.
    • To effectively manage the operation in terms of operational performance, people management, quality management, health & safety compliance and financial performance

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain discipline and measure staff performance.
    • Maintain equipment and facility
    • Ensuring client’s needs and expectations are consistently met within scope of service agreement; using initiative in developing customized solutions and continuous improvement processes
    • Actively managing daily operational performance to consistently achieve performance metric targets
    • Ensure employee development plans are in place and achieved as per plan.
    • Ensure the adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
    • Assisted client with customized solutions & improvement within existing and additional scope.
    • Plan and implement cycle counts, ABC analysis counting and various other processes in line with the KPI and contractual obligations.
    • Control, action, investigate and complete CAPA document’s if need be, this includes but is not limited to nil picks, error percentages, KPI requirements, etc.
    • Create and maintain various reports in line with KPI and contractual obligations.
    • Adherence to HSE compliance and responsibilities
    • Adherence to tasks not stipulated in job profile i.e. audit compliance, adhoc duties due to operational requirements.
    • Communicate with clients with regards to supply at all times
    • Supplier relationship building
    • Daily, weekly & monthly inbound and outbound meetings with client
    • Control the risks associated with VAS activities.
    • Monitor and correct the inadequate or inappropriate inventory, to meet the demands of sales e.g. stock shortage.
    • Ensure Material Master and bin master is maintained, updated and actioned as required.
    • Control, quarantined and damaged stock, this includes inspections, scrapping processes, etc.
    • Ensure inventory processes are followed in operations and admin
    • Manage facility maintenance and cleaning

    Sales Representative, New Business, Road Logistic

    Computer Literacy Level

    Job related requirements

    • 2-3 years New Business Sales experience in the Transport and Logistics industry
    • Experience in prospecting for new business
    • Experience in achieving new business targets set, Tender Management experience

    Freight Forwarder, Air & Sea (Temp)

    Main Purpose of the Role

    • Freight Forwarding Imports. Processing shipments end to end form collection to delivery.

    Job Related Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as an end to end freight forwarder in ocean imports
    • Ability to work overtime

    Electives

    • Knowledge of Incoterms
    • Knowledge and understanding of sea freight imports and exports
    • CW1 system experience
    • Good Communication Skills
    • Able to work with excel reports – basic to intermediate
    • Forwarding and Brokerage or end to end file processing for ocean imports and exports

    Duties and Responsibilties

    Imports

    • Arrange booking of shipments with overseas office / agent
    • Registration of files and capturing of charges in CW1
    • Tracking of shipments
    • Following up and retrieving shipping documents after sailing from forwarder or carrier
    • Following up on carrier invoices and ANF’s
    • Arranging customs clearance as well as release from other government organisations where required
    • Checking vendor invoices and raising queries as required.
    • Delivery planning and status report updates (tracking)
    • Communication with both customer and 3d parties
    • Processing of invoices
    • Sending document packs
    • Customer site visits if required
    • Completing update and milestones in CW1 including file closure

    Key Account Manager, Air & Sea

    Main Purpose of the Role

    • Key Account Manager of our large, medium and small sized clients and managing protecting, growing and innovating these businesses. Driving profitability with each of these clients, whilst adding value to the client’s supply chain and supporting with day to day requirements, strategic support and various DSV product service offerings

    Job Related Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding
    • Minimum of 3 years customer facing experience
    • Own vehicle, drivers license, ability to travel

    • B.Com Logistics/Supply Chain Management would be beneficial but not a requirement.

    • Ensuring the Executive Sponsor relationship is maintained with your client sponsor and the client
    • Creating and maintaining the client information pack
    • Manage the opening of accounts process as well as comprehensive implementation of – and continuous updating of client information
    • Be accountable for the contract negotiations process, understanding and mitigating the risk identified
    • Presenting to and implementing new DSV products, processes and strategies with client (s)
    • Management of client queries
    • Quality checking estimates and ensuring they are submitted on time
    • Compile client specific business reports and quality checking data integrity
    • Identify Opportunities for growth within the client’s business
    • Record under threat and lost accounts on CRM system and proper implementation
    • Manage service level agreements through reporting and reviews including identifying exceptions and corrective actions
    • Facilitate rate negotiations and increases
    • Arrange and control customer action plan processes for clients
    • Identify and report on quantified value for clients
    • Take meeting minutes and follow through to close out
    • Manage client debtors to keep within the agreed payment terms and resolve queries in days sales outstanding
    • Ensure standard operating procedures are signed off by the clients, documented and maintained

    • Compiling, monitoring and presenting customised client reports as may be required by the client.
    • Running continuous improvement projects for all clients  to maintain system relevance and advance or re-design support services in conjunction with the implementation team
    • Ensuring the client is given access to any DSV reports/reporting systems, which may be of assistance to them such as the Audit & Review, MyDSV, Purchase Order Managment, etc.
    • Ensure call plan recorded on MS Dynamics on a weekly basis
    • Record Lost Business on Red Account report on MS Dynamics.
    • Monitoring and manage Triple Deck Verification and executive sponsor activity for top accounts
    • Maintain, analyse and update Account Management strategy on a monthly basis which includes:
    • Monitoring service levels and volumes for each mode (air, ocean, road, etc.) and department (exports, imports, logistics, etc.).
    • Monitoring client’s payment cycles as well as outstanding payments in order to ensure compliance with payment terms and agreements.
    • Monitoring credit notes
    • Monitoring write-offs
    • Monitoring opportunities for new/extended business & QVA.
    • Maintain and update the Client Account Plan for top clients in portfolio and global accounts.
    • To compile and assist with client Tenders.
    • To assist in conducting customer surveys as may be required by other DSV departments or management.
    • Compile and present any other reports as may be required by DSV management on a regular or ad hoc basis
    • To maintain an acceptable & professional conduct and dress code in line with company guidelines
