    Job Description
    Description:

    • Hire Resolve's client, a reputable mining company in Gauteng, is currently looking for an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer to join their team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Take an active role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment by following all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and operational guidelines.
    • Lead by example to support safety initiatives and foster a strong safety culture within the team.
    • Plan and carry out regular inspections to monitor safe work practices and overall operational performance, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
    • Ensure effective team management by clearly outlining responsibilities and skill requirements, while supporting consistent and efficient team performance

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineer or related.
    • Blasting Ticket/Rockbreaking Certificate for scheduled mines.
    • 5 years' experience in underground mechanized mining
    • Extensive experience on Longhole stopping or similar bulk production drilling and charge-up operations.

    Lead Java Developer - Bedfordview

    Job Description

    • Hire Resolve's client is looking for a Lead Java Developer with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and scalable distributed systems.
    • The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining robust, high-performance, enterprise-grade applications.
    • This role goes beyond coding, it requires ownership of solution design, mentoring team members, and driving architectural improvements. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Design, develop, and maintain complex full-stack applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
    • Lead architectural discussions and define technical roadmaps for Java-based backend systems and microservices.
    • Mentor junior developers and review code to enforce best practices in design patterns, clean code, and testability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
    • Champion the use of Spring Boot and modern frameworks to accelerate development and standardize services.
    • Own and improve the CI/CD pipeline, code quality checks, and automated testing strategies.
    • Optimize existing systems and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across large-scale distributed environments.
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-native, containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
    • Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with enterprise-grade SLAs.
    • Monitor, analyze, and tune systems using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience, delivering scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
    • Expert-level proficiency in Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
    • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and distributed systems
    • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, and deploying scalable solutions on both cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure.Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, with proficiency in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs with secure authentication mechanisms.
    • Solid command of DevOps and CI/CD practices, with hands-on use of tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Helm, SonarQube, and monitoring solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.
    • Familiarity with infrastructure as code, container security, and SRE principles is a strong plus.
    • Experience in performance profiling and testing using tools such as JProfiler, JMeter, and unit/integration test frameworks.
    • Exposure to frontend frameworks like React or AngularJS is a plus for full-stack collaboration.
    • Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
    • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to guide teams, enforce best practices, and influence technical direction.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience in the telecommunications (telco) domain including familiarity with network systems, billing platforms, service orchestration is a strong plus.
    • Fluency in English; French is a plus.

    Assistant to Financial Manager – Logistics industry – Gqeberha, Eastern Cape

    Job Description

    • Hire Resolve’s client in the Logistics industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Assistant to the Financial Manager in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process interest and bank charges from bond, loan, and HP statements.
    • Maintain the fixed asset register, including processing monthly depreciation for over 95 trucks, 135 trailers, and various other vehicles and equipment.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliation of vehicle amortisation schedules and process associated interest and finance charges.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive reports related to fixed assets and HPs.
    • Reconcile diesel statements against QuickBooks records and purchase statements.
    • Track and process sales accruals.
    • Perform VAT calculations and reconcile VAT for multiple companies.
    • Compile and analyse monthly management accounts for multiple companies.
    • Compare, analyse, reconcile, and report on differences between daily management reports and monthly management accounts.
    • Reconcile intercompany loan accounts, as well as internal customer and supplier accounts.
    • Review the outputs of bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards and SARS regulations.
    • Provide assistance to bookkeepers with basic accounting software issues.
    • Compile information required for the annual BEE audit.
    • Complete Stats SA questionnaires.
    • Support the research and implementation of new policies and procedures across all departments.
    • Assist other departments with monthly Excel working sheets.
    • Create formulated Excel sheets to automate processes.
    • Assist the administrative department during busy periods or when staff are absent.
    • Provide support to the Financial Manager, COO, and CEO with additional requirements.
    • Assist auditors by providing necessary information for monthly audits.
    • Analyse physical stock counts, compare them to QuickBooks figures, and investigate any discrepancies.

    Requirements:

    • BCom or BTech in accounting.
    • 3 years of experience in an accounting practice, demonstrating an understanding of all financial department operations.
    • Advanced level of Excel proficiency is required and considered the most vital criterion.
    • Eagerness to grow and apply problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to review bookkeepers' outputs to ensure accuracy according to international accounting standards and SARS regulations, emphasizing the importance of theoretical knowledge.
    • Capable of assisting bookkeepers with basic accounting software issues.
    • Able to support the research and implementation of new policies and procedures across all departments, serving as the Financial Manager's "right hand" in these initiatives.
