    Programming Assistant

    Description

    Programming Administration

    • Facilitating presenter stand-ins.
    • Overseeing and performing administrative duties, such as attendance registers, cutting requested on-air audio.
    • Taking minutes in all meetings involving programming.
    • Working closely with the Creative Solutions team to ensure all admin around on-air campaigns and promotions is complete.
    • Thoroughly checking daily commercial logs, ensure they are placed in studio and signed by all shows.
    • Investigating commercial errors and providing feedback to sales and traffic teams.
    • Ensuring efficient administration of all programming documentation.
    • Providing administrative support to on-air teams.

    Programming Co-ordination

    • Managing studio bookings and coordinating pre-recordings.
    • Coordinating programming campaigns/activations. 

    Stakeholder Liaison

    • Assisting with feedback to listener enquiries and complaints that require a response.
    • Receiving programming guests.
    • Adhering to codes of confidentiality, working with discretion and professionalism in all dealings with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Managing all general communication with on-air talent.
    • Being the programming department’s dedicated contact for general internal queries.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • National Senior Certificate - Essential
    • Diploma - Media Studies - Recommended

    Experience

    • Radio/Media - 1 year - Essential

    Production Accountant

    Description

    • Reporting to Group Head: Content Development. The key performance areas include but are not limited to: 

    Financial Management

    • Managing Function / Department / Business Unit and its objectives in line with approved budgets (operational, capex and labour).
    • Reviewing and authorising payments in line with approved budget and policy for processing.
    • Meeting with production management and analysing and/or assessing variances, when and if required.
    • Monitoring remedial action within span of control.

    Financial Accounting

    • Compiling and analysing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions.
    • Analysing financial information dealing with assets, liabilities and capital.
    • Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarise and interpret current and projected company financial position.
    • Auditing contracts, orders and check vouchers and release payments.
    • Assisting with the modification of documentation and coordinating the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
    • Providing recommendations regarding accounting reserves, assets and expenditure according to financial standards.

    Accounting Administration

    • Preparing monthly statements by accumulating data, analysing and investigating variances and summarising data, information and trends.
    • Preparing quarterly board reports.
    • Calculating provisional and quarterly estimated tax payments and accumulating data for quarterly and annual tax filings.
    • Preparing monthly tax and VAT calculations and submitting to SARS within prescribed timelines.
    • Preparing full function budgets, consolidating budgets and preparing budgets for authorisation by Management.
    • Performing inventory management.
    • Performing all ad hoc duties requested by Management.
    • Responding to and solving all queries from Management.

    Monitoring Compliance

    • Remaining up to date with macro and micro-economic conditions, legislation, competition, market sentiment and the industry best practices.
    • Ensuring remedial actions is implemented timeously to address non-conformances.
    • Ensuring effective and regular communication of new statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures to ensure full awareness amongst all stakeholders. 
    • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance.

    Stakeholder Relationships

    • Building, supporting and maintaining interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.

    Requirements

    • A National Diploma in Financial Accounting is essential. 
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role is essential.
