    Toolstore Assistant - Kempton Park

    ­­­­RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Updating of all systems used in the tool store – SAM and RFID;
    • Resolve queries with regards to tools;
    • Ensure all items are clearly marked as well as the shelfs it is placed in;
    • Assist technicians with all tool requests over the counter;
    • Assist with outstation tool requests and planning for replacements;
    • Ensure returned tools are placed correctly and recorded accordingly;
    • Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions for discussion;
    • Carry out daily / weekly / monthly stock checks;
    • Follow up on items that are out for calibration / repair and assist with planning to ensure tool availability;
    • Ensure all calibrated tools are recalibrated in good time to ensure availability;
    • Ensure consumables are always stocked in tool store;
    • Perform Monthly inspection on GSE and other tools / items;
    • Report all unserviceable GSE / items to maintenance for rectification;
    • Ensure housekeeping is always done in the tool store;
    • Ensure access to tool store is always controlled;
    • Provide reports as prescribed by the Work Instructions;
    • Carry out Ad-hoc tasks as per management discretion;
    • Could be required to assist with warehouse duties from time to time.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent;
    • Must have + 2 years’ experience in a warehouse / tool store environment;
    • Must have a valid driver’s license;
    • Forklift license will be beneficial;
    • Courses done in warehousing will be beneficial;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Must be willing to work shifts and weekends;
    • Willingness to work overtime when required.

    Line Warehouse Controller (JHB)

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Responsible for spares movements between R. Tambo International Flight Line and Main Warehouse;
    • Binning of parts received into respective areas;
    • Conduct weekly cycle counts;
    • Accurate record keeping and filing of all relevant documentation pertaining to spares movements;
    • Updating of the stock system to reflect spares movements;
    • Routing of parts to outstations, hangars and airports where it is needed;
    • Creating of documentation for shipping purposes as well as packaging as per work Instructions;
    • Updating of spares requisition system as soon as parts are received or dispatched;
    • Housekeeping to be done daily;
    • Attend to all requests for spares sent through via email, phone calls or WhatsApp;
    • Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by supervisor;
    • Ensure access to warehouse is controlled at all times;
    • Monitoring and managing of BRN’s for all spares on the line;
    • Assist with loading and offloading of spares on the aircrafts;
    • Assist with all queries on spares in the station;
    • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by management. 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Grade 12;
    • Must have 3+ years warehouse experience;
    • Warehouse courses will be beneficial;
    • Must have a valid driver’s license. Driver’s license (EB) is a must;
    • Must able to drive with long trailer(Car trailer);
    • Forklift license will be advantageous;
    • Heavy lifting will be a requirement of the job;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Must be willing to work shifts.

    Dangerous Goods / AVSEC Instructor

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain own certification relating to regulated training programs, conferences and courses for Dangerous Goods /AVSEC as set out in the Regulations;
    • Maintain current knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, procedures for the safe operations of aircraft and ensure conformance to regulatory requirements;
    • Determine training needs in line with organizational requirements;
    • Develop high standards of Dangerous Goods / AVSEC training material, which corresponds with Flysafair Dangerous Goods, and with PART 92 and 109 of the Regulations;
    • Design and develop Dangerous Goods / AVSEC related courses and procedures and best practice methodology;
    • Deliver Dangerous Goods / AVSEC training in classroom and virtual format;
    • Oversee training programs and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and the training is current and in real time basis. Make updates as necessary;
    • Work with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs;
    • Attend SACAA conferences and other relevant working groups;
    • Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods;
    • Ensuring that certified training is delivered to the highest standard and that the training reflects the guidance and direction of governing bodies;
    • Ensure an auditing and recording system is maintained for all regulatory requirements;
    • Ensure documentation and all training records are completed;
    • Assess, monitor, coach and provide trainees with individual feedback;
    • Review of training feedback received and implement changes to delivery/ material;
    • Office admin, preparing for classes, audits etc.;
    • Development for Weight and Balance.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • Must have Aviation experience;
    • At least 2 years’ experience as an instructor/ assessor;
    • Successful and current completion of the dangerous goods training in Group A and signed out by the SACAA as an instructor to train Group C,D,E will be an advantage;
    • Successful completion and current or undergoing of Instructor Aviation Security Certification will be an advantage;
    • Successful completion of Train the Trainer, Assessor and Moderator, Coaching and mentoring;
    • Knowledge about applicable Dangerous Goods Regulations and Aviation Security;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
    • Good Administrative skills;
    • All other aviation training experience will be an advantage;
    • Willing to travel and be out of base for some days a month.
