Responsibilities:

Typically you will work with clients to identify and implement rapid, tactical and sustainable operational restructuring measures, for example you will advise on:

• Independent business reviews,
• Turnaround strategies, with specific performance intervention measures and targets,
• Strategic options analysis,
• Contingency planning reviews,
• Cost out and EBITDA optimisation initiatives
• Short-term cash flow reviews and forecasting, helping clients see and control their cash positions
• Cash levers to smooth cash flow/ conserve cash
• Working capital improvement plans;
• Restructuring Office services - helping client management develop and implement turnaround programs
• You will be expected to develop conclusions and recommendations, write reports, assist in client presentations and provide implementation assistance as required.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: 

• Drafting of a variety of M&A transaction documents and general commercial legal agreements.
• Advising on general corporate law.
• Conducting legal due diligence investigations and compiling due diligence reports.
• Legal research and producing accurate legal opinions.
• Formation of business entities, drafting of constitutional documents and related company secretarial work.
• Supporting senior team members in drafting proposals, preparing presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project teams to understand specific solution requirements and translate them into detailed architectural designs that fit within the EA frameworks.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support the solution's architecture, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Design integration approaches to ensure seamless interoperability between different technology components and systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive solution architectures and technical documentation, including architectural artifacts, diagrams, and documentation that support EA objectives.
• Ensure that technology solutions align with the organization's architectural standards, industry regulations, security protocols, data privacy requirements, and other relevant compliance considerations within the EA context.
• Collaborate with Domain Architects and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication of technical concepts, architectural decisions, and the value of solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Information Systems, or similar.
• Preferred: Solution Architecture Certification (e.g., Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• 3 – 6 years’ experience in designing and implementing systems and solutions from the ground up.
• Proven experience in specialised technology or architecture roles with a successful track record in solution delivery.

Pertinent Points:

• The Solution Architect will utilise tools like LeanIX to support architectural decisions, compliance, and governance within the organization.
• This role involves extensive collaboration with Domain Architects and other stakeholders to effectively communicate technical concepts and the value of solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

About you

• Outstanding academic track record (Honours or Masters level from a top-tier university; preference for a Business Science, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or Science degree)
• Previous strategy and / or Commercial Due Diligence experience (minimum 18-24 months) either in a corporate strategy or Big 4 / strategy consultancy environment
• Strong intellectual ability, commercial awareness, analytical skills, flexibility,
• Able to effectively work in small teams consisting of highly ambitious and driven individuals
• Confidence and credibility to present your opinions to senior team members
• Work ethic and commitment to the team – our work can involve working outside of a regular 9-to-5 routine and it is important you are highly motivated and hungry for the opportunity to make a difference from day one.
