• Purpose is to oversee the work activities of the hygiene team to ensure that the site is handed over to the client according to required hygiene standards. Responsible for training the hygiene team in using all equipment and chemicals in a safe manner. Responsible for site safety and making sure that teams perform tasks timeously.

Summary of responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage a team to produce a food-safe site, daily. 
• Manage and achieve the Budgeted Man-hours and Purchases in their Section. 
• Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment with compliance to all statutory safety regulations. 
• Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff. 
• Responsible for all Operational activities in their section, including operational problem solving. 
• Maintain Customer relationship; meet Customer expectations and eliminate plant damage & downtime. 

Requirements

Job Requirements: 

• Grade 12.  
• Deep Cleaning experience is essential. 
• Chemical Stock control experience is essential. 
• Have exposure to Industrial Relations. 
• High-Quality administrative skills required. 
• Be flexible to work at various sites as requested on short notice.

Description

• Ecowize is looking for a skilled and competent Rope Access Level 3 Technician to join the Special Projects Team in KZN.
• The Rope Access Level 3 Technician is responsible for leading the Rope Access team to perform various tasks while accessing areas via ropes.
• The Rope Access Level 3 Technician is charged with ensuring the safety of all personnel within the work area while maintaining efficient project progression. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety and quality control in rope access activities, according to Ecowize standards.
• Responsible for all cleaning services for clients e.g. silo cleaning, window washing, and other cleaning services where working at heights are required.
• Responsible for all specialized cleaning services for clients e.g. decontamination, broiler cleaning and any specialised industrial cleaning required.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the client and team.
• Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date.
• Responsible for all equipment and the cleaning of equipment, also ensure that nothing is missing when requested to work on site.
• Attend client meetings during the task planning or organizing period.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained so that the quality of service meets the necessary standards.
• May be required to generate and complete daily timesheets and paperwork for projects.
• Supervise rope access operations in accordance with the required guidelines.
• Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and rescue plans.
• Perform hands-on technical tasks depending on project scope.
• Maintain rope access equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lead and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 team members.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Valid Rope Access Level 3 certification (in-date).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in rope access, including supervisory duties.
• Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Physically fit with a strong safety mindset.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Available for regional travel and emergency call-outs.
• Flexibility to work shifts, mainly night shift.
