• We’re on the lookout for a reliable, energetic team player to help load and offload inbound and outbound stock with precision, care, and a keen eye for detail. If you’re strong, safety-conscious, and ready to hit the road (literally), we want you on our team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Load Like a Pro: Get stock onto trucks, check for damages, and make sure everything is balanced—because wobbly loads are a no-go.
• Unload with Care: Offload stock according to the Proof of Delivery (POD) and ensure every item is in its rightful place.
• Returns Wrangler: Pack returns neatly and securely.
• On-the-Road Sidekick: Assist the driver with paperwork, deliveries, and keeping the truck clean and presentable.
• Stock Picker: Help pick and stack stock according to procedures—no damaged goods, no shortcuts.
• Safety First: Follow Safe Working Procedures and Food Safety Standards (FSSC 22000) like it’s second nature.
• Housekeeping Hero: Keep the workplace (and truck) clean, tidy, and hazard-free.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• Ideal (But Not Required): Code 10 or 14 driver’s license
• Skills: Stock stacking & loading, communication, teamwork
• Attributes: Reliable, energetic, presentable, and a natural team player
• Knowledge: Basic product knowledge, warehouse layout, and stacking/safety procedures

Special Requirements:

• Must be physically fit—heavy bags don’t lift themselves
• Willing to travel long distances with the driver (early starts and overnight stays may be required)
• Flexible to take on extra tasks as operational needs arise—even outside normal hours

Description

• Are you an unemployed local in Gqeberha? Montego Pet Nutrition (Pty) Ltd is offering you the opportunity to join our team as a Casual General Worker (Non-Continuous Basis).
• As a Casual General Worker (Non-Continuous Basis), you'll assist with various tasks that arise unpredictably and are of limited duration. This means you'll be called upon as and when needed, based on our requirements.

Conditions of Work:

• Temporary: You'll be hired for specific periods or projects as per our requirements – no guaranteed hours or fixed schedule
• No Permanent Employment: This role does not lead to permanent employment.
• Payment: You'll only be paid for the actual hours worked.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This role goes beyond any one task — when you’re called in, your duties may include, but aren't limited to:

• Packing and handling stock
• Assisting drivers with delivery paperwork
• Loading and offloading trucks, including heavy lifting of bags weighing up to 40kg
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse and surrounding work areas
• Accompanying drivers on delivery routes, which may include travel to distant locations

Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF4) or equivalent
• Live in Gqeberha – availability on short notice is key
• Must be currently unemployed
• Valid Code 10 (C1) license with PrDP or up would be a major advantage
• Warehousing, stock and or FMCG industry experience will be beneficial
