    Assistant Property Manager

    Job description

    Job purpose

    The Assistant Property Manager (APM) position is to assist with the day-to-day functions of the property management department and the functions of the Property Manager to which he/she is assigned. The focus of job is to support the Property Manager in all aspects of management pertaining to the property. The APM is the liaison between the tenants and the Property Manager for maintenance and many tenant .

    Educational and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelors of Law, LLB, or a Property Management Degree
    • Administrative experience (2-3 years)
    • Property (asset) Management (2-3 years)
    • Drawing up and managing budgets (2-3 years)

    As A Assistant Property Manager, You Will Be Responsible For:

    • Maintenance
    • Administrative support
    • Client Services

    Requirements

    To provide on-site management at a shopping centre in Knysna and thereby ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for customers.

    Educational and Experience Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • National diploma (administrative / financial) will be advantageous
    • Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical qualification will be advantageous
    • At least three years’ experience in centre or facility management or property administration

    As A Centre Manager, You Will Be Responsible For:

    INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITES AND OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITES

    • Tenant liaison
    • Customer liaison
    • Centre marketing/promotions
    • Lease administration
    • Debtors administration (arrears)
    • Premises vacancy management
    • Budget for the centre
    • Cleaning of premises
    • Security for the premises
    • Health and safety
    • Landscaping
    • Centre and parking area maintenance
    • Managing residential component

    MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP

    • Planning and service provider contracting
    • Performance monitoring
    • Resolve operational issues
    • Motivated and disciplined team/s.
