    Estimator

    Job description

    Requirements:

    • Matric
    • B Tech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering  or Quantity Surveying
    • 5 - 10 years’ experience in a related role 
    • Must have CCS experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the estimating function and business process
    • Implement estimating and technical improvement projects
    • Review tender documentation
    • Identify risks and factors which could influence the successful awarding of the tender
    • Arrange for required guarantees and forward to Treasury (Letter of intent, Bid Bond, etc)
    • Import and Trade Code the Bill of Quantities into the Estimating Software (CCS)
    • Calculate quantities from drawings and compare with Bill of Quantities
    • Prepare indirect costs in accordance with the tender program
    • Negotiate client tender contracts and submit additional information as required
    • Ensure supplier and sub-contractor compliance to BBBEE standards

    Head of Finance: Construction

    Job description

    NB: ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMPANY'S EE PLAN

    Requirements:

    • CA (SA) or equivalent
    • At least 8 years’ experience in a Financial related role

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing and implementing a strategy and action plans for the finance department and planning strategically to improve the overall business performance.
    • Driving the financial objectives of the company and analysing the profitability of divisions.
    • Reporting and analysing corporate overhead expenses against budget
    • Leading the Financial Auditing process (internal and external) for all divisions and ensuring appropriate financial and governance controls are established and maintained.
    • Resolution of all divisional key audit matters
    • Preparation of reports for Board and Board Audit Committee. Attend Board Audit Committee meetings.
    • Custodian of the CCS/ Buildsmart integration and improvement of contract analysis and risk identification
    • Custodian for all BI reporting development through the company
    • Regular site visits with divisional heads to problematic projects
    • Attending all tender meetings and sign off on all divisional tenders
    • Managing the implementation of changes to the financial framework due to new financial standards across the divisions
    • Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts
    • Custodian of the divisional OPSCO reports being responsible for standardisation, improvement and analysis
    • Custodian of the divisional budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Reviewing of the divisional cash flow forecast for all the divisions
    • Responsible to review all capex forecasts, review all capex requests and all international plant movement
    • Responsible to review and be familiar with all depreciation and plant rate calculations
    • Communicating Financial Reporting timelines and ensuring divisional delivery on deadlines.
    • All long-term forecasts for strategy document
    • Adhoc queries and problem solving

    Other:

    • Valid driver’s license and own transport
    • Buildsmart experience
    • Hyperion experience
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Good communication skills
