Junior Animation & Graphic Designer at Spintelligent

Job description

We are seeking an entry level creative 2D motion graphics designer to work on our various animation projects, digital and print designing and video editing in the conference and exhibition industry on a contract basis in the Southern Suburbs area.

Key responsibilities:

• Create storyboards depicting the script and narrative
• Draft, design and produce high quality animation and print collateral
• Work closely with the studio manager and production departments in order to identify and solve problems
• Communicate artistic and technical concepts clearly and concisely in either verbal or written format in order to guide team members.
• Develop the timing and pace of the movements of a character or object during the sequence of images and ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements
• Build up accurate, detailed frame-by-frame visuals
• Record dialogue and work with editors to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters and graphics) in order to produce the finished piece
• Work to production deadlines

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification
• 1 years experience in Animation
• Good knowledge of the video production process
• Proficient in Adobe suite CC
• Understanding of Video Formats
• Fluent in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and video conversion software or similar
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Ability to work effectively as a team player and independently
• Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: R10,000.00 to R12,000.00 per month depending on experience, 50% contribution to medical aid.
