JOB PURPOSE

The overall purpose of the role is to partner with Business Unit heads to drive business growth by taking the lead on medium and long term financial forecasting and planning and tracking the implementation of plans from a Financial perspective across the business.

The role also includes focusing on specific Finance Projects.

It is commercial and forward looking role versus retrospective reporting role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support BU heads to enhance the budgeting, forecasting, long term planning and business
• analysis process across the various Business Units. experience in planning and forecasting across multiple entities.
• Medium/large turnover
• Financial modelling
• Decision making
• Partnering with BU heads & their teams to provide financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and evaluation and support on key initiatives
• Develop reporting and financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting tools to aid decision making and efficient financial operations.
• Review analyses results, develop insightful recommendations for the growth & cost
• optimization agenda and overall business decisions.
• Implement key decisions affecting the design and improvement of financial planning and analysis processes

QUALIFICATION

CA (SA) with proven experience in demonstrating commercial acumen and adding value to business growth.

EXPERIENCE

• Generic CA skill set.
• In addition to a generic CA skill set, a proven track record of ability to partner with BU heads & their teams in driving growth and apply commercial acumen through an in-depth nderstanding of the complexities of different operations.
• Sound forecasting, planning, business analysis, modelling and reporting skills and ability.
• Ability and willingness to take an analytical and detailed approach (granular )focus and then
• extrapolate this information to make key business decisions.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen through an ability to understand the intricacies of the business and through analysis and modeling to formulate recommendations aligned to growth prospects.
• Must have previous experience in Financial Services duties such as:
• Financial Accounting
• Follow acceptable accounting practices
• Group consolidation
• Cash flow requirements
• Preparation of budgets/Annual Operating Plans
• Preparation of forecasts
• Credit control review
• Supplier relationships
• Year end audits for Group
• Payment releases
• Statutory & Compliance:
• Legal and tax compliance review of SOP compliancy Reporting
• Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting
