The Role

• Develop and maintain web-based applications, associated backend systems and processes
• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
• Contribute in all phases of the SDLC
• Write well designed, testable and efficient code
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Strong focus on robust service-orientated design, compelling user experience, and client satisfaction
• Provide first hand analysis and Investigation for production environment concerns
• Take ownership of projects assigned to

Skills & Experience

• Minimum Matric
• Bachelor Degree, preferred in Computer Science or Information Systems qualification (advantageous)
• Knowledge of / experience within the financial services industry (preferably investment banking) advantageous
• Recent working experience delivering projects using agile/scrum principles

• Recent working experience using TDD and BDD
• Recent working experience using GIT versioning system
• Recent working experience using continuous build servers (Jenkins)
• 3+ years of hands-one Web Development experience
• 3+ years of experience in C# (WebApi, MVC and ASP.net)
• Working experience in modern JavaScript libraries – AngularJS, Underscore, KnockoutJs, JQuery, BackboneJS, NodeJS
• Experience working with SQL Server, JSON, CSS, Redis, MongoDB, Selenium, NuGet and SonarQube
• Experience designing, building, styling, testing, and debugging custom corporate transactional web solutions
• Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (MVC)
• Proficiency in applying patterns in the design of solutions
• Languages and technologies (advantageous):
