    Senior UX Designer

    Job description

    We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to lead our design team. You'll use your design thinking and customer centric superpowers to work with our design, product, business and development teams to create beautiful, yet functional, frictionless and intuitive product experiences that delight our customers.

    As part of the design team at 22seven, you will:

    • Take ownership of design and UX.
    • Work with and lead cross-functional teams across design, product and development to create amazing experiences for our customers.
    • Train, mentor and supervise a team of designers and user experts.
    • Have a passion for, and an understanding of, 22seven’s brand and principle design conventions. At times, contributing to site- and app-wide style guides.
    • Help define and recommend changes to design characteristics, strive to build strong business relationships with vendors, and define and prioritise schedules for future releases.
    • Appreciate clean, responsive design that places the user experience above everything else.
    • Be self-driven and take initiative. Be deadline-driven, able to work under pressure, and in an agile sprint environment.
    • Articulate and clearly communicate solutions and design concepts to teams and stakeholders.
    • Have exceptional attention to detail (some may call you obsessive).
    • Proficiency with Sketch and the Adobe Creative suite. Willing to learn new things.
    • Have knowledge of current design and user experience trends, systems and guidelines.
    • Compile market analysis, customer feedback and requirements, and user research analytics.
    • Have an expert knowledge of web and mobile standards, cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
    • Have past experience building front-ends/user interfaces for web and/or mobile i.e. have an understanding of code and how to design for and communicate responsive/scalable layouts, UI interactions and UI animations.
    • Bonus points if you’ve worked with prototype software i.e. Framer.js, Invision, Marvel.
    • Rapidly produce multiple UI concepts and working prototypes, and not be married to any of them.
    • Apply ongoing user-centred design and usability testing to find ways to improve our customer experience. You'll be expected to facilitate Google Design Sprints, Design Thinking brainstorms and ideation sessions.
    • Being passionate about constantly improving and polishing the experience customers have of 22seven through our apps is a must.
    • Be a 22seven customer. Care about the essence of the service and what it can do for you.
    • Be a core part of solving something the world still knows little about: how to help people do more with their money.
    • Lastly, you must absolutely love what you do, have opinions, get excited about UI and experience design and work well in an environment where you’re given autonomy and the freedom to do your best work.
