    Admin Clerk

    Job description

    Introduction

    A leading events supplier is looking for a administrative clerk to assist in day to day operations. The position is based in Kuilsrivier South Africa with a family run business with growth opportunities. The position will commence with a three month probation period where you will be working together with the owners of the business serving leading venues, event coordinators and direct clients in the Cape Town area. The position may be extended or converted to a permanent position at the end of the probation period.

    Administrative clerk responsibilities:

    The administrative clerk’s responsibilities are primarily to:

    • Answer queries of customers via email and telephone
    • Generate quotes for clients
    • Generate invoices for clients
    • Make amendments to quotes and invoices according to client needs
    • Generate weekly delivery schedules
    • Ensure deliveries are sent according to a delivery schedule and collected accordingly
    • Ensure that stock levels are maintained and stock is in good order
    • Perform a weekly stock take
    • Serve visitors on occasion by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately

    Skills and qualifications required:

    • Matric
    • Excellent telephone etiquette
    • Excellent verbal communication in both English and Afrikaans
    • Very proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Professional mannerism
    • Customer Focus
    • Ability to handle pressure and deadlines

    Advantageous skills

    • Logistics experience
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • Experience in industry

    Salary offered is R 5 000.00 p/m
