Project Finance Transaction Advisor at CrossBoundary

Job description

CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Transaction Advisor to drive investments in power generation projects to financial close.

Primary Responsiblities:

• Building bankable project finance financial models
• Building a project's capital stack - including seeking financing on behalf of a developer from both private capital providers (both debt/equity) and development finance institutions
• Using experience with renewables and hydro to advise developers on financing strategies
• Identifying investment barriers and thinking creatively to find solutions around them
• CrossBoundary is not a development firm and is not seeking typical development skills. Associate candidates should have 4+ years of experience working in high caliber finance – ideally in Southern Africa. Expertise in project finance; renewable energy, and/or off-grid generation is a plus.
• Project portfolio is focused on Southern Africa, with a priority focus outside of South Africa. The Transaction Advisor will be based in Johannesburg. Frequent travel is expected.
