Job description

Moyo Business Advisory have a great opportunity for a BI Architect / Enterprise Data Architect to be responsible for uderstanding and driving the overall technical vision and planning of its clients in the mining, utilities, manufacturing and financial services industries; translating business needs into technical strategy.

Understanding inter-dependencies between various systems and infrastructure to ensure alignment to the overall strategy.

Designing and building data management solutions, developing architecture to analyze and process data in a way that adds value to the organisation.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to architect large scale big data analytic systems.
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience on Hadoop / Spark based distributed storage and computing frameworks.
• Good understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical methods, such as
• predictive modelling, pattern recognition, text mining
• sentiment analysis, index building, clustering
• Hands on experience on AI related technologies and Data Science.
• Proficiency in several technologies in the Big Data ecosystem, such as
• SQL, NoSQL, Database Design, ETL, Talend
• Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark
• HBase, Flume, Mahout, Scoop, Kafka
• H2O with specific focus on the Microsoft stack
• Experience in programming scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Perl, Scala
• Experience in analytics tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, RapidMiner, Knime
• Real-Time analytics and batch processing
• Strong experience in architecting analytical applications in cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Openstack

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or an equivalent Engineering Degree
• Certificate or previous training in Architecture (i.e. TOGAF) will be beneficial
• 5-7 years of consulting / solution delivery / engineering / architecture experience in Finance / Mining or Enterprise market
• 4 - 6 years of experience in Analytics/BI
• Excellent customer interaction skills to present proposals, articulate analytics value to customers and lead customer engagements with a matrix structure
• Desirable to have strong knowledge in Wireless domain and consumer data analytics
• Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and ability to collaborate with peer teams
• Ability to develop technical relationships with partner companies and vendors
