Do you possess the competence and experience to manage a state of the art Grinding station in Kuwait?

As the Plant Manager, you will be accountable for client relations and plant management, including the people and objectives, and profit and loss of the operations. The mission is to deliver on our customer promise of producing more cement, at a lower cost, minimum environmental impact, at the best quality and highest standards and to secure a future sustainability operation. The scope includes operation of a full flowsheet grinding station with state of the art FLSmidth ball mill, material handling and packing plant equipment.

Commercial leader and Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager, you are in charge of the management for the overall performance of the plant within the framework of FLS O&M priorities, policies and processes. You will define and implement the Plants’ yearly and medium-term objectives and plans; coordinating and managing the human, material and financial resources to manufacture cement whilst ensuring Employees’ and contractors’ safety, achieving or exceeding production targets, Quality specifications, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Accountabilities:

• Setup and implement site operation of a Greenfield plant
•  Build strong relations with the client by growing mutual trust
•  Full responsibility for people, profit and loss of the operations
•  Safety of plant and employees, contractors and third parties
•  Operating in the frame of local laws and regulations, and in compliance with FLSmidth standards and code of business conduct
•  Cost control, specifically; financial management, procurement practices and net working capital
•  Business planning (medium and short-term), key objectives and plant improvement plan and budget
• KPI development, tracking and reporting
•  Business reports in line with LFS O&M and client requirements
• Development of key personnel and the overall productivity of the workforce

Qualifications

Required qualifications for candidates; relevant engineering degree, a minimum of ten year experience in the cement industry and at least two years in a similar position. The ideal candidate is equally proficient in leadership and general business management, grinding station operations, and financial management. Furthermore, a sufficient understanding of technical problems, in order to decide appropriate action in the following domains: safety, plant operations, process, maintenance, product quality and environmental management.
