    Manager Key Account

    Job Description

    Responsibility for the management and development of a portfolio of large national accounts through first class trading relationships. Accountable for delivering results, step change performance, implementation, negotiating JBP for mutually profitable growth and aligning McCain and Customer strategy. The Key account manager will be responsible for achieving budgeted volume and profitability targets, as well as the delivery of customer and category business plans in liaison with the customer marketing team.


    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Achieve sales according to the agreed volume budget.
    • Manage the forecast by key account.
    • Manage promotional spend and rebates according to budget.
    • Manage price maintenance.
    • Control general expenses.
    • Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
    • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel
    • Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
    • Write business plans for all current and opportunity tender business
    • You will act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions

    PRIOR LEARNING REQUIREMENTS

    • Relevant tertiary qualification i.e. Sales, Marketing or Commerce
    • A minimum of 5 years sales management experience in the FMCG sector with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the major Retail and Wholesale trades.
    • Working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
