    Medical Aid Specialist

    Job description

    COMPETENCIES:

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Be fully knowledgeable of the different Medical Aid schemes offered by different health providers to ensure that corporate and individual clients' requirements are fully met.
    •  Prepare all marketing and reporting material for relevant Board of Management meetings of the Employer/s concerning the affairs of the Medical Aid scheme, and / or relevant member presentations.
    • Assist in all tender and re – quote activities expected for each Employer whenever requested to ensure cost competitiveness and product education.
    •  Assist in the preparation of new scheme quotations and recommendations - corporate and individual.
    • Maintain a strong, effective relationship with the Employer Clients and all Medical Aid FSP administrators and consultants.
    •  Assist clients resolve all outstanding underwriting and new business requirements during the application process; further assist clients in escalated queries.
    •  Adhere to the Group’s practice management and compliancy processes, including the FAIS and FICA Acts without exception.
    • Be fully responsible for the entire administration of the Company's Health Book.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least 3 years full time employment in the medical aid industry
    • Matric
    • Comprehensive knowlege of products across all registered health providers
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and a good understanding of the internet
    • Sound knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
    • Broker Tools knowledge - ESSENTIAL
    • Own transport
