Job description

Role Purpose: Create and maintain a sustainable and effective financial operation for the Genetics organization 

Role Accountabilities:

• Processing supplier/creditor accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures 
• Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data 
• Preparing bills for payment and review 
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to supplier statements on a monthly basis 
• Verify discrepancies and resolving billing issues 
• Facilitating payments of supplier bills due and following up on outstanding purchase orders 
• Completing credit account applications for all divisions of the business 

Skills required:

• Proven working experience as creditors clerk 
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles 
• Data entry skills 
• Hands on experience with excel spreadsheets 
• Proficiency In English and in MS Office 
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
