Summary

We are currently looking for a Financial Manager to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
As a Financial Manager, you will be required to drive profitability of the respective lines of business through active commercial management.

What we expect you to do:

• Financial Management
• We need you to manage and oversee the accounting function, ensure financial processes are followed, efficient costing is achieved, manage the operational cost recovery and expenditure and carry out a variety of monthly reconciliations.
• You need to analyse, prepare, present and distribute financial reports and prepare all month-end and year-end reports, including statutory fiscal reports, management accounting packs, profitability analysis and variance reports.
• We need you to implement and manage compliance with financial controls, ensure legal and fiscal tax requirements are met and that year end audits run smoothly.
• You will need to prepare and submit the annual budget, ensure all expenditure is tracked and reported, and manage accruals efficiently.
• We rely on you to manage our accounts receivable and payable functions in conjunction with the Shared Services function.
• We will need you to work with the Shared Services Account Billing depart to ensure collection targets are met, oversee expense claims and make sure commissions owed to the Sales teams are accrued or paid in line with corporate policy.
• We will rely on you to manage the maintenance of contracts and ensure that the correct revenue, cost deferrals and contract renewals are processed.
• Compile and submit the annual budget for review to Regional Financial Manager
• Manage expenditure against the budget.

Forecasting and budgeting

• Communicate with COE regarding budget updates and additions
• Assess and approve all requests prior to submission to the Shared Service Centre
• Escalate any queries with client regarding revenue collections and any disputes
• Escalate any queries with vendor regarding any disputes for large contracts
• Escalate any critical issues with respect to the SSC
• Review of journal entries and reconciliations
• Compile client presentations and present
• Flag additional cost and contract leakages with Operations Manager
• Review and understand service contracts and billable amounts
• Commercial Management
• Regional bids sign-off
• Negotiating finance options with finance houses
• Structuring finance deals
• Assisting sales team with presenting structured deals to end clients
• Price Negotiations with Vendors
• Vendor Rebate Management
• Vendor Relationship Management
• Sub-Contractor Engagement Model
• Managing and developing talent
• Managing and supervision of Financial Accountants
• Training of Financial Accountants
• Providing Mentorship to Financial Accountants

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job

Key requirements:

• CA (SA) preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management environment.
• People management and leadership experience.

Key abilities required:

• You will need to display good negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You need to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• You will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and an investigative nature.
