Summary

The Senior Actuarial Analyst contributes to the organisational goals by providing support to managers and peer reviewing the work done by more junior analysts within the General Insurance Actuarial team.

Job Objectives/Outputs

• Development, maintenance & implementation of actuarial models and processes.
• Training of junior analysts in best practice actuarial modelling techniques.
• Critical and detailed review of actuarial models and processes.
• Appropriate communication of complex results to stakeholders
• Extraction and verification of data used for actuarial models.
• Assist with ad-hoc actuarial investigations and reporting requirements.
• Perform technical actuarial calculations to support business needs.
• Maintain standards of integrity and professionalism as set out by the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
• Deliver the Telesure Service Way through personal effort and through others.
• Deliver on Treating Customers Fairly principles in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Essential:

• Bachelors / Honours degree in Actuarial Science or similar
• Completion of CT subjects through the Actuarial Society of South Africa

Experience:

Essential:

2 – 4 years’ working experience

Desirable:

2 – 4 years’ working experience within a non-life insurance environment
