    Mainternance Technician

    Job description

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Support and co-ordinate facility improvements and maintenance within the Fire and Security environment.

    POSITION DETAILS

    • First line maintenance and problem solving of fire and security systems, including raising of requisitions. (Control panels, diesel engines, pumps, water reticulation, alarm/radio systems, electric fences, beams, cctv, etc)
    • Ensure uptime of emergency response systems and equipment in line with Company Fire Bulletins and Security policies.
    • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance work orders /schedules.
    • Initiate and manage projects to improve overall system performance in the related fields.
    • Ensure calibration of equipment and monitoring systems are in compliance.
    • Update of policies and procedures relativeto emergency response equipment.
    • Liaise with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA)

    • Independent and self-sufficient worker
    • Strong knowledge of Safety requirements as related to the role
    • Fault finding ability
    • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word & Outlook)
    • Basic project management skills
    • Attention to detail and action oriented.
    • Task orientated.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
    • Mainframe system knowledge.

    QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

    • Qualified artisan in preferably an electrical or mechanical.
    • Minimum 3 years working in electrical/mechanical field.
    • Knowledge of sprinkler and fire detection systems.
