Duties and Esential Job Function

Software

Stay up to date and informed with regards to the latest best practice and workflows in the BIM environment, with specific reference to Revit as preferred BIM tool
A working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks are considered perquisites for this position. Knowledge of Inventor and Infraworks is beneficial, but not essential. Self-training in this software is a medium‑term goal, and will be expected.

Standards

• Responsible for the development, implementation and enforcement of Aurecon Bridge BIM and Revit standards
• Creation and maintenance of template, family and other standards related items in support of the BIM and Revit strategy
• Quality control for completeness and compliance with Aurecon BIM standards, conduct audits to ensure compliance
• Assist and support Revit users in the development of skills and compliance with BIM standards

Management

• Provide support to the Bridges Digital Lead in the development of the digital implementation blue print
• Develop process documentation for bridging the gap between the Digital Strategy and physical BIM implementation

Project interaction

• Assist project teams with project Revit setup in accordance with the Aurecon Bridge Methodology
• Assist on project work – modelling and minimal drafting
• Resolve BIM related issues and queries, primarily focused on Revit as BIM tool

Required qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in design, engineering and drafting in a structural environment
• 5+ years’ experience using Revit as primary BIM tool, supported by the knowledge of Navisworks
• Working knowledge with regards to BIM and the associated processes
• Written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Proactive character and self-efficient
• Productivity and efficiency is essential attributes
• Taking responsibility and ownership with minimal guidance
• Being able to work independent, but also as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and constantly develop through self-learning
• Working knowledge of Inventor, Infraworks and Navisworks will be beneficial.
