Job Purpose:

Plans and directs the security function and is accountable for ensuring that the corporate security programmes and strategies are effectively implemented and managed.
Manages security operations, planning, directing and organizing programme of PepsiCo's sites/facilities within the SSA region.

KPI'S:

• Finance
• Control and monitor all security costs
• Lead accountability for the Security expense budget: negotiate budgets and lead performance measurement in security tensure the effective delivery of security objectives within timescales and quality standards.
• Track and control business assets
• Customer
• Deliver security procedures tappropriate and consistent levels, ensuring the safety and security of employees and products, tdeliver on business objectives in day-to-day operations
• Build relationships with relevant stakeholders and consider various viewpoints in determining courses of action trealise mutual goals.
• Business Process
• Lead the risk and threat assessment for the ( Simba) PepsiCSSA and advise company leadership on risk and threat mitigation measures
• Maintain proficiency with latest thought leadership through collaboration with FMCG and security industry peers on security technology
• Develop, implement and enforce local (Simba )PepsiCSSA security policies, standards, guidelines and programmes in accordance with Global Security Standards
• Provide technical expertise, evaluate content and make recommendations on incorporating all facets of Corporate programmes intthe business operation.
• Accountability for compliance with all company standard operating procedures, policies and guidelines, and compliance with all safety and environmental codes and regulations
• Develop strategies tprovide coordinated responses tsecurity issues and incidents
• Coordinate, consult and enforce security policies, standards and initiatives, tsupport Simba PepsiCsites and services
• Lead security technology improvement projects and consult on security technology for respective business areas when required
• Manage the protection of the organization's physical assets by maintaining and safeguarding the physical perimeter, exterior, and interior perimeters of the facilities.
• Provide security protection for all organizational facilities: implement and manage processes tmonitor the flow of personnel and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the Simba PepsiCbuildings/sites.
• Manage access and alarm systems for sites, buildings, and facilities tensure standardisation and uniformity
• Support and consult on security measures for company special events e.g. major media events, executive security assignments and senior leadership/Excmeetings off-site as requested
• Accountability for the management of the investigation of corporate crime and acts of misconduct
• Actively serve as a member of the Crisis Management Team and support executives in Crisis Management planning
• Lead the SSA Business Continuity Planning and Management Program
• Implement and oversee special risk mitigation measures for site development and construction projects in (Simba) PepsiCSSA
• Oversee the travel security program tsafeguard employees traveling and attending business events in SSA region

People

• Lead a team of Security and other staff in activities that directly impact on the protection of people, property and information for specific sites and employee populations in line with business needs.
• Monitor performance, identifying and resolving any issues regarding security delivery. Motivate staff tachieve objectives and ensure a secure working environment.
• Drive a continuous improvement culture tdevelop a high performing team
• Manage and direct the operations of Security Control Rooms
• Management of the 3rd party Control Room Technicians
• Control Room Systems operational at all sites
• Collaborate with others tensure emergency response plans and programmes are accurate, practical and current tprovide for general physical security, loss prevention and protection of personnel
• Build capability through people development and training in area of expertise, ensuring security team members are equipped with appropriate skills, knowledge and experience tperform effectively
• Oversee and support company security awareness and education programmes
• Ability twork in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment;
• A minimum of 10 years experience in public and/or private (FMCG) sector with accountabilities and key measures listed above;
• Comprehensive substantive knowledge of best security practices, principles and objectives;
• Advanced, proven experience in security management, protective services, and law enforcement;
• Well-refined interpersonal skills;
• Bachelor's degree (minimum);
• A working proficiency of written and spoken English
