Job Summary

A leading Electrical Construction company is currently looking for an Assistant Buyer/Estimator in Cape Town to work along-side an experienced QS of 35 years on projects such as data centres, large industrial plants & critical power applications.

• The candidate could be a former electrician or engineer with a minimum of 2 years prior experience in the buying & electrical construction environment.
• Maintaining and cultivating relationships with suppliers. Work together with a senior buyer/estimator to source products, collate/take purchase orders. Present technical information in an easy to understand and exciting manner.
• Compile accurate spreadsheets and gather all required product data timeously.
• Help manage supply chain. Perform various administrative jobs.
• Assist with quotations & tender compilations.

Requirements/Skills:

Good understanding of planning and the logistics process relating to product.Sound analytical, organising, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Strong affiliation to systems, utilising them to increase productivity in line with the business strategy. Competency in all computer packages, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel (Advanced) and Internet.employment record.
