ROLE DESCRIPTION

Translating customer requirements and technical specifications for elevator and escalator solutions, into an accurate and competitive selling price.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical and Electrical)
• Exceptional academic record in mathematics and mechanics/electrical
• 2-3 years post qualification experience in similar industry
• Understanding of mechanical assembly drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse and interpret tender specifications, to provide best technical and financial solutions for market competitiveness.
• Prepare accurate cost competitive estimates for complete elevator/escalator or MOD installations
• Ensure cost estimates are prepared accurately and timeously to achieve submission deadlines.
• Receive sales booking packs from the sales department and evaluate correctness (lift/escalator configurations)
• Book sales orders on SAP.
• Support the national sales team and facilitate queries.
• Work with the local and overseas Schindler Engineering teams to resolve technical problems (if necessary).
• Costing of variation orders and processing
