Job description

SPAN Cape Town seeks a freelance/contractor Technical Writer resource for a 2 month full-time gig. This person will work in-house with our CT software engineers to create the documentation and instructional content for the Apple Analytics platform.

Requirements:

• Worked for a technology company documenting technical products and frameworks used by other engineers
• Able to engage engineers and develop a strategy/structure for documentation of their work products
• Familiarity with markdown or ready to learn
• Able and willing to work with remote teams at sometimes odd hours (early morning or late evening
• Able to inventory existing content, map it to a new structure and assess it’s quality.
• Identify missing content and specify what must be developed
• Develop new content as needed
• Experience of instructional content design, learning objective and learning object definition
• Production of instructional videos
• Able to follow a voice and style guide
• Able to work to a deadline. We have several immovable deadlines, but we can negotiate scope as long as we meet some basic objectives.

Remuneration: up to $50 per hour
