Role Overview

Our Client is looking for a mid to senior-level Video Production Specialist of exceptional talent to join a high impact marketing team in the financial services sector. The incumbent is required to manage the creative process, capturing and recording, as well as editing and post production processes for all media requirements for the business.

A key focus is on user experiences and incumbents are required to ensure that the user experience supports the commercial requirements of the business. This team routinely works with divisions within the firm on projects that require interactive and creative engagement. The candidate must have a wealth of knowledge, is flexible, creative, works to deadlines and must have good communication skills to be able to work efficiently within an existing team. May be required to work extensive hours and travel from time to time.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Shoot interviews, events, dramatizations and recordings as required.
• Record, edit and master audio (voice-over, sound FX, music).
• Perform still photography and other multimedia duties.
• Assist with set up, lighting, cameras, and audio equipment, direct & produce.
• Manage projects from start to finish:
• Gather project requirements from teams/stakeholders;
• Define project plan & milestones and communicate team/stakeholders;
• Assemble and manage production & post production teams;
• Manage projects creatively through delivery;
• Source and manage suppliers for projects as and where required;
• Procure, source and cost out new infrastructure and archiving projects where required.

Education & Experience Required

• Must demonstrate in-depth, working knowledge of industry-standard multimedia production equipment, software and hardware.
• Must demonstrate sophisticated aesthetic, technical skills, and knowledge of current media trends.
• Must be highly motivated, and able to work well alone and as part of a team.
• Experience in various video formats; transcoding, encoding, authoring, title sequences & colour grading.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple, concurrent projects.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
• Excellent creative writing skills and off-camera interviewing skills
• Excellent project management skills.
• Should be able to work to deadlines and under pressure where required.

Required Skills/Experience

• Mac literate
• Proficient at pre-production (scripting & planning);
• Proficient at interviewing subjects for sound-bite based stories;
• Proficient camera operator (DSLR & HD Cameras);
• Proficient in lighting coordination for field and studio shoots;
• Proficient with audio recording and monitoring equipment;
• Proficient in video post-production (Apple Final Cut Pro X & Apple Compressor);
• Proficient in motion graphics (Apple Motion);
• Proficient in audio editing, music editing, mixing and mastering (Adobe Audition);
• Experienced in video encoding and authoring to Blu-Ray & DVD (Adobe Encore);
• Experience in photography would be advantageous but is not a determining requirement for this position;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Relevant Tertiary Qualification in related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years professional video production experience.
