Job description

Role:

The AWS architect is a Customer Facing role. Through the usage of Consulting skills he/she helps the client to understand new technologies. He/she aligns a business model and business strategy to create custom solutions and architecture(s) for specific use cases. This person analyzes a current state and defines a future state on AWS infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate has done financial analysis as well as compliance requirements analysis.

We want the architect to have worked on workload discovery, assessment and migration to AWS projects.

Responsibilities:

• AWS workshops and proof of concepts
• Requirement analysis / use case documentation
• TCO ROI analysis
• Gather on premise application workload requirements as part of discovery phase and assess them for migration to AWS environment
• Create to be AWS solution architecture for hosting dev, test/staging and production workloads
• Map current on premise software to AWS PaaS components where applicable
• Migrate applications from on premise data center to AWS infrastructure environment
• Create and implement testing plans post migration
• Implement changes to architecture (If any) to meet performance requirements
• Setup DR and BCP on AWS to meet customer SLA’s
• Create ROI for migration

Skills required:

•     Extraordinary communication skills
•     Minimum of 10 years of enterprise application solution architecture expertise
•     Minimum of 4 years of AWS solution architecture experience
•     Server virtualization
•     AWS environment migration experience
•     Knowledge of server, storage and network
•     AWS migration tools knowledge and experience
•     AWS solution architect certification
•     Experience with workshops and POCs
•     Financial analysis requires TCO & ROI
•     Advanced DevOps experience
•     AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate Required (Professional Preferred
