Job Description

Murray & Roberts Power and Energy invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of QC Supervisor – Materials Receiving for the power Programme, based at the Kusile Site reporting to the QC Manager. The project entails the building of 6 x 780 MW Coal Fired Super Critical Boiler for the coal fired Kusile Power Station to be erected at the Kusile Site at Mpumalanga ,Witbank, South Africa.
Minimum Requirements…
EXPERIENCE
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience on Boiler Projects/Petrochem Plant
• Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• EN 12952EN 13480AWS D1.1
• 2 Years’ experience in a management or senior position
• Well conversed with ISO 9001 requirements
• Well conversed in interpretation of isometric drawings
• Well conversed with Data Book requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Matric
• SAIW QC Inspectors Level II
• Any management courses shall be advantageous
• Any material handling or logistics qualification shall be advantageous

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Material Receiving QC Supervisor shall ensure that all material received is inspected and stored upon delivery.

key responsibilities :

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Liaise with the logistic team on material delivery
• Ensure all materials are delivered according to specification requirements
• Ensure all material deviations are recorded and reported
• Ensure material storage is maintained and carried out in accordance to specification
• Maintain an inspection register for deviations/inspection findings
• Provide and Report on Material status
• Resolve issues arising
