Job Description

• As Process Engineer you will form part of the Gyproc team in Cape Town within Saint-Gobain reporting to the Senior Process Engineer.

• Gyproc is the leading interior building solutions group; Gyproc manufactures lightweight building materials and energy conserving Rhino Board for all interior lining
• As the Process Engineer you will be accountable for the management of the Plant Process Control Parameters and the Quality Management System.

TASKS

As the Process Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring all critical process control points are defined and in control.
• Application of Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure Management to ensure Process in Control.
• Ensure all product specifications are up to date with latest process improvements.
• Monitor and analyse Process Control and Quality Management system data daily, and report on trends.
• To ensure that Production and Engineering Teams comply with Plant Process Control Parameters and Quality Management Standards.
• WCM Improvement Projects.
• ISO 9001 System Management
• Strategy
• Leadership
• Other (example Corporate Governance, Policy Formulation, BBBEE, etc)

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally you will possess the following:

• BSC Chemical Engineer
• 5 Years process engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of continuous manufacturing plant operation.
• Continuous improvement experience e.g. (WCM / Lean/ Six Sigma)
• Ability to communicate and influence effectively across the organisation.
