    Trade Marketing Manager

    Job Description

    The purpose of the role is to develop and implement trade marketing strategy aligned with the brand strategy with a strong focus on Distribution, Display, Promotion and Price with the objective to increase the demand at wholesaler or retailer level.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    • Responsible for but not limited to the following broad functions:
    • Leading the development of the Trade Marketing Strategy to achieve defined business objectives and revenue growth across all product categories.
    • Development and execution of trade/consumer promotions including pricing, sales estimates, operations liaison, POS development and campaign evaluation.
    • Recommend and develop store or region-specific initiatives and promotions and develop targeted campaigns to support them.
    • Gather and share with management insight on any competitive activities and product launches.
    • Work closely with other departments on distribution expansion opportunities.
    • Working with ops team to maximise store profitability.
    • New stores opening - marketing plan development and execution.
    • Monitor and improve processes to link all Marketing activities with the activities of the Sales and Ops team and ensure full alignment. Work closely with the team to improve processes that link corporate brand building activities and Product Development activities with Sales activities.
    • Continuously assess issue and opportunities across products and categories/brands sales performance and develop a corrective marketing action plans.
    • Travel to all weFix retail stores quarterly to ensure brand consistency and build strong relationships with centre management.
    • Continuously evaluate store performance, issues and drive and collaborate with other departments on addressing them.

    SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

    • Undergraduate degree with minimum 5 years experience in a Trade Marketing/Sales Management position.
    • Experience in a relevant industry preferable retail, household goods, fast-moving-consumer-goods.
    • Analytical - ability to analyse large amounts of data.
    • Top rate commercial acumen.
    • Category Management Skills.
    • Prior experience with complex project management tasks.
    • Proven success working in a fast-paced environment where strategic brand-building efforts are complemented by hard-driving promotional activities.
    • Proven ability and desire to help build a Marketing infrastructure, including processes, methodologies and tools required to drive Marketing effectiveness.
    • Online landscape understanding.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Ability to think both strategically and operationally.
    • Excellent project management and planning skills.
    • Ability to build strategic working relationships.
    • Self-leadership skills - Self-confidence, self-discipline, determination, self-development.
    • Adaptability, Agility and Innovation.
