    Business Development Executive

    Job description

    As one of the World’s fastest growing digital marketing companies, we are expanding to immediately open a new office in London and are looking for an experienced and self-sufficient senior Business Development Executive who can provide the first local senior sales capacity, working with our head office in Johannesburg, South Africa. We need someone who is effective in selling both marketing products (e.g. Google AdWords, Facebook etc.) and the technical deliverables (e.g. WordPress and e-commerce sites) that enable customers to take their marketing potential into calls to action and therefore real ROI. Our Business Development Executive team are given high quality leads, so an effective and diligent person would find this an ideal environment, with significant earning potential through our commission structure.

    Specific duties include (but not limited to):

    • Taking leads provided by the company through to successful sale
    • Introduction and closing of sales from own network of contacts
    • Liaising with the Johannesburg office as may be necessary, to provide a successful outcome for local Cape Town clients
    • Building of formal proposals, based on an extensive company-provided pricing template
    • Diligent administration and recording of sales activity and next steps
    • Revisiting of previous clients to identify and pursue upsell opportunities, where relevant and directed by management
    • Working with technical team to provide costings for any complex or custom projects, which can then be provided to the potential client
    • Working with Account Management teams to provide an effective handover, so that post-sales success does not require further Business Development Executive involvement (except for upsell).

    Ideally (but not required), the candidate would have experience in:

    • Google AdWords and Analytics marketing (ideally even certified)
    • Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and Twitter marketing
    • Concepts around WordPress and E-Commerce (e.g. CS-Cart)
    • Managing sales through a cloud based CRM system (e.g. Accelo or Salesforce.com)
