    Account Manager - Freight/Logistics

    Job Description

    • EXPERIENCE FROM THE SERVICE SALES INDUSTRYNew business development (70%) as well as maintaining relationships with existing key accounts (30%).
    • Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of key accounts, as well as New Business clients acquired.
    • Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
    • Ensuring the correct products and services are educated to customers in a timely manner.
    • Resolving any issues and problems faced by customers and dealing with complaints to maintain trust.
    • Playing an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
    • Preparing Weekly reports of progress and forecasts to RSM.
    • Meet KPI's set out and achieve monthly and quarterly targets
    • Customer database built & maintained.
    • Call schedules developed & maintained.
    • Daily / weekly / monthly planning.
    • Market potential opportunities identified, prioritized, actioned & tracked.
    • Daily activities & Call objectives planned for and recorded on CSM.
    • Matric.
    • Previous experience as a Sales Representative / Account Manager within the Freight/Logistics Industry is preferred however the company will consider providing product training to a strong new business development sales person.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as negotiating and closing skills.
