    Demand Planner

    Job description

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

    In your role as a Demand Planner at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

    • Providing demand forecasts that meet customer service requirements, for all sku's across the category and customer base, enabling effective business, production and capacity planning
    • Determining the accuracy of the demand forecast which impacts the levels of inventory held by the company, which in turn impacts core working capital
    • Liaising with key customers to agree the demand forecast on a monthly basis
    • Liaising with the Production Planners to ensure that the correct demand forecast is taken into consideration in production scheduling and that the business priorities are constantly highlighted
    • Monitoring promotional behavior and providing feedback to the customer team in regards to promotional performance

    WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

    Required

    As well as a hunger to learn, to succeed in this position and to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

    • A 3 year Commercial degree/diploma, B.com
    • A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Sales/Category Management and or FMCG Planning
    • High level of numeracy, computer literacy and spread sheet development skills is essential

    Knowledge Of

    • Customer category objectives and direction
    • Microsoft Windows Outlook, Excel (advanced), Word and PowerPoint.
    • SAP APO - essential
    • Proven analytical / statistical ability
    • Finance policies and procedures. (In depth knowledge)

    WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

    Fast paced environment with multiple activities and changing priorities.

    The requirements of the role demand flexibility with regard to working hours due to workload and deadlines.
