EDW/BI Engineer at JUMO.WORLD

Job Description

We are in the quest for someone who can take a complex problem and create a simple solution for it. This is a specialized role, perfect for someone who can come in and hit the ground running with regards to technical development of JUMO’s data warehouse.

Key responsibilities:

•  Design and assist in the development of our data warehouse.
•  Design and monitor construction of ETL processes. This includes ETL audits, error handling and controls to ensure quality of the data and the ETL process.
•  Develop, implement and maintain unit and system integration test strategies.
•  Define best practices and standards for the data modelling process.
•  Work with other project leads and business users to gather requirements, conduct analysis and prepare specifications.
•  Drive standardization of business definitions with analysts and business owners.
•  Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance EDW/BI landscape components.
•  Define and manage SLA for data quality and availability.
•  Document definitions of facts and dimensions.
•  Ensure that the company’s data is of a consistently high quality.
•  Implement data cleaning processes to ensure that bad data is identified and flagged.
•  Manage the on-going population of the Company’s various data sources.
•  Perform data duties related maintaining the Company’s Operational Systems.
•  Document SQL queries appropriately.
•  Work closely with functional analysts to drive business excellence through the organisation.

Requirements

Essential:

• Relevant IT degree/diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in MS SQL Stack – SSIS / SSAS / SSRS
• SQL 2005 / SQL 2012 / SQL 2014
• Kimble methodology experience

Desirable:

• Financial services industry experience
• AWS
• Redshift
• Python
• Parrallel DW
