Your role

We’re Looking For Someone Like That Who Can

Are you gifted at assessing value and risk. Do you love to give advice, as well as educate.

• Conduct financial statement analysis build and maintain financial models to evaluate historical information and generate forecasts.
• Write research reports on South African listed companies analysing factors such as business development, trends, opportunities and valuation.
• Individual stock coverage will be a near term priority in the role.
• Remain current on market developments to help frame investment views and strategies.
• Collaborate closely with local South African colleagues on cross-sector South African research, and coordinate views across the consumer space
• Market and communicate stock views to both internal, and external stakeholders and clients (international and local)
• Perform risk analysis and measurement.

Your team

The South African Retail/Consumer team is part of the consistently top ranked Equity Research team in external client surveys such as the Financial Mail, Extel and Institutional Investor.

You Have

Your experience and skills

• Over 5 years' experience in the financial markets and/or experience in the Retail/Consumer sector.
• Fluency in English both written and oral a must
• Need strong computer skills, strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint,
• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.

You Are

• A self-starter with the potential for immediate stock coverage.
• Good interpersonal skills and a confident presenter
• At least 5 years' experience in financial markets (preferably some experience of Equity Research) or experience working in the Retail/Consumer sector
