246 Deputy Director: Procurement (P6) at Central University of Technology, Free State

Main purpose of the job

• To provide procurement as well as stores & delivery services to the University.

Main tasks

• Develop, implement and monitor procurement policies and systems in line with the University requirements and relevant legislation.
• Manage and control an efficient procurement service for the University and be directly responsible for the delivery of the following specific services:
• Procurement of goods and services
• Management of the Tendering process
• Manage an efficient stores and delivery system for the University.
• Manage the performance and development of reporting staff.
• Ensure submission of reports

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

• B Com with Supply Chain Management / Procurement / B Accounting or equivalent
• 5 years related experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain Management including
• Contract management
• BBBEE
• Infrastructure procurement
• Project management
• 3 years should be at Management in Supply Chain or Procurement or related.
• Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
• CIPS registration
• Understanding of NEC contracts
• Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects experience
