    Assistant Finance Manager

    Job Description
    An opportunity has become available for a self-motivated, meticulous and efficient individual to join the Finance team of the TFG Jewellery and @home division as an Assistant Financial Manager on a 7 month maternity contract.

    He or she will work alongside the Head of Finance to ensure the integrity of financial reporting (income statement and balance sheet), the preparation of budgets and projections, assist with the maintenance of internal controls and carry out detailed oversight of key import control accounts.

    Key Performance Outputs

    • Review monthly income and expenditure and prepare monthly management reporting
    • Review all manual journals and ensure accurateness of information and treatment in terms of IFRS.
    • Preparation of detailed budget and quarterly re-projections
    • Review of balance sheet reconciliations, including key import control accounts.
    • Releasing of SAP documentation (orders, invoices for payment)
    • Preparation of interim and year-end audit information and liaison with internal audit
    • Project work to align systems and processes to best in practice.
    • Preparation of ad hoc reporting and analysis
    • Investigation of and resolving ad-hoc queries
    • Responsible for managing 1 team member

    To qualify for this position, you will need:

    • BAcc Honours (advantageous)
    • 3-5 years related experience is essential.
    • Willing to learn new skills and take on challenges
    • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
    • Strong numerical abilities
    • Service orientation and high level of professionalism
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills
    • The ability to work independently and to initiate process improvements where appropriate
    • To be self motivated
    • To be a team player
    • Good planning and time management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Experience with and a good working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook.
